I'm new to mumsnet so sorry if this has already been covered but does anyone else think that the quaility of next clothes has gone down recently.I bought a pair of maternity thousers there 2 1/2 weeks ago and they have just ripped for no reason this is the 3rd time i've had trouble with next clothes in 2months.

i have had a good run of next stuff this pregnancy with the one exception of a pair of maternity jeans (and it was the style rather than the quality). personally, i can't bear h&m stuff... horses for courses, eh?

LunarSea - great name! Agree about the quality at Next, quite shoddy of late.

For maternity clothes H&M and Asda are cheap and cheerful. My friend has taken a pair of maternity jeans back to Next twice due to ripping!!!

I also think the two for a fiver pyjamas at Asda are excellent.

H+M maternity is fabulous, cheap and so funky and modern, wish I had discovered in month 4 rather than month 8.5!!!
Ebay is good for maternity wear too, top brands like Formes and Blooming MArv at fraction of the price, plus you can sell on afterwards for the same price!!

I prefer H+M and Asda. (Asda do fantastic pyjamas- 2 for a fiver)

The big Tesco stores (Tesco Extra) definately have maternity wear - saw it earlier this week and noticed because I hadn't realised they did it either.

Do Tesco do any maternity clothes? Theirs seem to be pretty cheap
I got some really good stuff from Debenhams but it wasn't especially cheap

do not like Next at all really, it mishapes in the wash, the maternity pants I got the elastic went in them too...
not worth the price, you have to buy 20 crap things to find one good things..

I don't shop at Next at all. I don't really like their clothes and find some of their stuff a bit pricey. Lots more bargains to be had elsewhere.
