We're thinking of getting dd a booster chair - but was wondering how do you attach them to the chair???

I would get one - great for visiting people. We kept DS in his high chair at first but he's now in his booster at the table (has been for ages actually). His is from Argos (fairly cheap) and fastens behind and underneath. He has been able to fasten/unfasten the harness for ages (he is nearly 3).

Fairydust,

I've got the one from Toys R Us which has straps that secure it to the back and underneath of an ordinary chair. You ask whether it would be best to keep your dd in a highchair....all I can say is that my dd infinitely prefers the booster chair because she gets to sit at the table with mummy and daddy, and feel all grown up.

Hvae got 2, 1 Mothercare with 5 point harness (excellent), one Safety First with 3 point harness (good but not as good). Have used them both on numerous chairs.

They were both bought off e-bay. A week seems far to long to wait for any communication from the seller, I think e-bay's rules state that you can even report people after a week of nothing but I'm not sure. I would e-mail them, if you haven't already, to find out what's going on.

Yes Zebra. Immediatley. I have reciept of payment plus a copy of e bays e mail to seller saying payment has been made. Dunno how long to leave it before getting in touch again.

Did you actually send payment to the seller already, Charlieplus3?

Thanks fd! I'm feeling really positive now. Obviously not totally, there's still a load of things I'd like to change in my life (wouldn't we all) and a load of things that stress me out (what's new?) but at least I'm free to change things and move on.

Bought mine from Toysrus - has two ties, to go underneath and round the back of the chair (and a very cr*ppy IMO 'lapstrap' for the babe - that maybe because mine is so small the lapstrap is no use...- the mothercare one is slightly dearer but has a five point harness...) I like it 'cos its portable (folds flat.....) and dead easy to clean

mine is used on the floor and on a chair - ties with straps to bottom and back of chair as well as harness to keep dd in .... she loves it. Great for visiting g'parents ( all folds up) and having dinner out with friends - quite reasonable too .. got ours from JohnLewis..

fd - thankyou, that's so sweet. Had a better xmas than I expected (but don't think much of xmas anyway! being stuck with family etc!).

Am coping ok, not really doing much though!! Just having some long (far too long probably, should shift my bum!) thinking time and sorting everything out.

I'm ok thanks, just didn't have internet access for ages because I was at my mum and dad's.

They're flexible so you just tie them in the best place depending on the chair you're tying them to. Mostly they seem to work best round the back for me.

are they any good - or would ibe best to keep dd in her high chair???

Mine tie underneath; have seen ones that tie around the back and underneath, though. We have 2: the Tomy one and another (don't know the brand)
