Dukes Education - good or bad?

I read yesterday in the paper that Dukes Education are launching a new school "London Park School" and have nicked Suzie Longstaff from Putney High to head it up. The name of Dukes seems to stretch far and wide these days, buying up all sort of schools across London and beyond. Some schools are doing well, others not so well, judging by the threads on here. It seems like they company leaves the schools alone somewhat? But why buy them then if they are light-touch? Does anyone know anything about it? How is Duke's funded? Is it funded by private equity? And masses amounts of debt then? I have a funny feeling about them.
