What do you do all day?

I'm a SAHP, my son goes to preschool two days a week and DH works six days a week, minimum.

My friend is thinking of quitting work and asked me what SAHPs do all day.

It got me thinking.

Apart from the obvious;

Cooking
Cleaning
Laundry
Childcare
Groceries
Home admin
Home maintenance
Running around so everyone else at home has nothing to worry about.

What do you do all day?

I go to yoga and write a blog no one reads (this isn't a plug by the way.)

SAHM to a 14 month old.

Apart from the above, he goes to Creche while I go to the gym, we do day trips, or just go to the park or play in the garden. Run errands. We go out at least once a day.

I am sahp with 19 month old. Not entirely sure when I have time to do major cleaning other than when DH is about at the weekends. No idea how single parents do it all.

Managing DD not climbing on radiators/tables/tv etc seems to be a full time job

Ontop of most of the above, volunteering at school, volunteering with a very small local charity, swimming/running dependant on weather.
Very small amount of freelance work.
Coffee out with others in a similar situation.
Day has pretty much gone!!

Ps school runs obviously figure in here as I have one, soon to be two school age (one still at home) children. Then after school it's snack, park visits, extra curricular activities, homework, reading, etc etc it's pretty full on really!

My days are mainly spent entertaining the children (and myself, to be fair! ) with trips out to the trampoline park, farm, zoo etc (we have passes) the kids have swimming lessons and a gymnastics preschool session. I do all housework (when I have time....) but everyone is clean, fed and has clean clothes to wear. I'm trying to enjoy my time with them as much as possible as I know how quickly time is passing, and I know my being a sahm isn't long term.

I bake a lot. I have 4 children. I have recently became a sahm and I love it. The original plan was for me to go part time but the kids they said they loved having me at home, so I decided that's what I would do at least till my youngest starts secondary.
I do all the housework, diy jobs that need doing the gardening, shopping and I bake around 2 or 3 items a day. Washing and drying clothes for all of us can take up a fair bit of time.

I take my ds out alot. We are in London so have lots of museums, parks, attractions etc. We also go to 4x playgroups and one soft play session which only costs £2. Most of the things we go to are free so we are quite lucky in that aspect.

Then of course its the usual cleaning and things to do at home. Ds also has various appointments at the moment. I am never bored at home. Ds is about to start nursery for 2 sessions a week so going to start look for a part time job soon.

This will be different for everyone, but for me that pretty much fills up the day. I have DS 16mo and DN 11mo. Between them and housework I'm rarely bored.

But if they went to a preschool or something then I would love to go to the gym, start painting and clean without being chased around
