My mum died three months ago and as the only girl (i have four brothers) i was left the family home. All my brothers are married and have kids and homes and i am married too. One brother hasn’t bought his own home preferring to live the high life with flash holidays, cars, private education for his children. He and his wife have decided that i should let them have my mums house as they are only renting. My mother couldn’t stand his wife. They didn’t speak at all for years. I am not ready to even open my mums cupboards let alone prepare her home for someone else to move into. They think because i have a nice house i should let them have it. Move their three teenagers into mums home and i just walk away. I have been living in my mums house since she died. It is the only place i have comfort. I pay all the bills. It is in my name. I am grieving my mum They are pushing me every day trying to heap guilt on to my shoulders because i am soft and kind hearted. I know it would be against my mums wishes to reach them her home. I know this is going to end in confrontation that i just can’t cope with. Please help.
