Do I sell my big pram for something smaller, help!!

Ok, after posting that I need a smaller car buggy I am now wondering if I should sell my big pram and go for a Bee Plus. Which I could afford only if I sell my big pram.

If I keep the big pram and get a smaller buggy as well then I am limited to a budget and it doesn't stretch to what I would ideally like!

However, during the week I walk everywhere as I don't drive so I do like my big pram for that usage.

Oh what to do, help!!! Would a Bee be comfortable enough for full time use and sleeping etc... or do a just get a cheap buggy to use alongside my big pram like I was going to do before.

Only saying this now as my hubby is getting fed up of the big pram in the boot at the weekends so really need to get something sorted!!!

I would miss my big pram! !!!

I've got 4 kids too - and I just think sometimes you need a big pram for winter weather (easily forgotten about now it's sunny and bbq season!) and for those grocery shopping trips or library trips (with all kids in tow), but it's also really useful to have a very good lightweight buggy for the train/bus/holidays - occasions where you need something compact.
I reckon if you can raise the money (I'm sure you'll find a way - even grown out of toys or clothing/shoes can be sold on ebay!), you deserve to have something that makes life that bit easier. Four little monkeys is a challenge enough - especially if you are doing a lot "on foot" (which means you don't have the comfort of the car - and all it can contain - drinks/spare coats/blankets/snacks blah blah - you know what I'm saying!).
An Xplory and a Bee+ is still less expensive than buying and running a car yourself now isn't it!

then save up for a bit longer and get the bee and keep the xplory.
is there anything else you could sell to fund it?

if you'll be gutted to lose the big pram then don't do it!

also, are you plannig on having any more children? would you use the bee for them from newborn if you did?

I may have to sell, sell, sell all of our excess stuff on ebay to fund a Bee Plus and keep the Xplory!! .

I know I will be gutted if the Xplory goes (sad I know!).

Ah, i never had the first edition bee, and always thought it looked small or flimsy (only from tiny pics in catalogues or on the web), i never realised how great they were. I'm glad i waited til the + came out though as our dc is 2 and growing so i'll get more use with the bigger seat. I think the bigger seat is the biggest difference really.
On the one hand i keep thinking i only need the bee, but sometimes the bigger pram is needed.

I had a Bee with my daughter so I know what they are like and I assume from all the talk the Bee plus is better!

I would miss the Xplory though, ideally would like both!!!

Have you looked at all the video's on the Bugaboo website? Also is there a pram shop that would let you have a play with the bee? Just folding, unfolding, turning the seat, having a little push and messing with the handlebar height would give you a good feel for the quality and how it would be to use it everyday.
It would be better to know before you sold your big pram really!

But then i prob wouldn't get a great price for my Mutsy 2nd hand, and i do need those bigger wheels for the beach, the woods and snow!
Ideally i should have just bought the bee, and got a 2nd hand landrover for offroad stuff.
I will prob continue with the Mutsy and at least have some use from it as i would expect to loose a fair bit of money if i were to sell already. :-(

I think you would be fine with the bee. I also walk everywhere and got a Mutsy 4rider and then the bee, and i find myself wanting to use the bee mostly. It has better suspension, and i can fit loads in the basket beneath. Which was my other concern. I'm seriously thinking of selling the Mutsy already. Not because i'm so unhappy with it but i find myself wanting to use the bee all the time. I do feel ds is really comfy in the bee. The seat is very good. I would buy a liner to help keep it clean for everyday.
