A little push chair help please!

I'm torn between the uppababy vista v2 vs icandy orange as a double pram - I'm due with my first soon but really hoping to have another not long after and trying to think ahead in terms of investing in a good pushchair that can be turned into a double later on. I've watched some reviews and seen that maybe the icandy isn't roomy enough for the kids when used as a double, the vista looks a bit better in terms of spacing between the seats and maybe slightly better compact fold.

The only thing is I absolutely LOVE how the icandy looks.
Considering they are both pricey I would like to make the right decision based on functionality.

Has anyone used any of these 2 as a double?

Bloody love my Vista, used as a double and a triple (ie buggy board) and now largely a single. Yes it's big, but I found it manoverable and stable and I used it frequently on London buses (there was still room for another buggy). Big open basket is so easy. Youngest is three, so it's slowly fading into retirement .

Big fan of the vista too, although not used it for 2. Great to handle and everyone goes on about the shopping basket. Yet to see anyone else's pram I would rather have!

We got it because its so good but also for the option for 2 and lots of seat configurations.

Also Uppababy service is amazing, if something needs replacing they do it so fast.

Only negatives are it can be heavy compared to other prams to lug in and out the boot and its quite large when folded, but that still wouldn't put me off getting one.

My two are less than a year apart and we didn’t use the double buggy we bought until the second was 8 months old. Sling plus single buggy is a lot easier. If yours are more than a year apart, single buggy plus buggy board might also work. Once the younger baby is sitting, an umbrella double is also an easier option than the bigger more complicated buggies.

@foralltheballoons thanks for the advice. I’m not due until June so I might see if some ex display ones come up. But I do like the uppababy not decided on if I want a second baby yet I have hyperemesis so it kinda puts you off 😂

@Starbeach I do sell the all terrain though I must admit it doesn't sell particularly well.
I stopped selling the oyster as I had a few problems with them all in all it was a good seller but I am quite cut throat as soon as issues arise when I sell a pram I don't want it to come back with faults.
The all terrain is great for countryside, so if the bugaboo fox, the UPPAbaby Cruz (actually has a better suspension than vista which is more popular)
I would note iCandy seem to be getting rid of the all terrain in the new peach due Feb/March. iCandy peach though is generally great all terrain.

Of you're not converting the vista to a double l, look at the uppababy Cruz.

I loved my vista. The basket was massive, the biggest I've ever had! But it was big. The Cruz has a lot of the features of the vista but is just a bit lighter and has a smaller folded footprint.

Of o needed another pushchair (I don't!) I'd buy the Cruz in a heartbeat.

@foralltheballoons do you sell the icandy peach all terrain? I’m torn between this, the oyster 3 and the vista. We looked at the icandy in the shop and with 3 wheels it drove like a dream… 4 wheels it felt like a dodgy shopping trolley and the shop didn’t say anything or check it to make sure it was all ok and the wheels weren’t on lock.

I love the oyster but worried it has no suspension and we live in the countryside but how often it would be on very uneven ground is questionable

Anyone have any hints or tips thanks 😘

@Cinnapompom just to add, the Vista is amazing if you're tall because the handlebars can be easily
adjusted. It's been brilliant for me at 5'10".

Thanks everyone this is really helpful! I think I might get the vista for a single and then later on when needed either double it up or look for a good double like the ones some of you mentioned.

Have an I candy peach and love it, turned it in to a double for 2nd dc. But it dose not have loads of room for the bottom child. If I had my time again I would keep the icandy as a single for when I just take the one dc out and invest in an double out and about nipper

two umbrella pushchairs with a connecting clip works. If you want something a bit fancier second hand is more often than not decent quality.

There's 18 months between my two. I have the Uppababy Vista and I am really happy with it!
I don't find it particularly heavy, it's good on all terrains, fits nicely through doors and is comfy for the kids. Roomy basket underneath. I've had it for three years now and it's still in daily use!

For my double I used the abc zoom, I tried many but that one was the absolute bomb. The huge basket was a game changer, I would get maybe 10-15 compliments and enquiries about it every day, and the kids loved it as it was sibling facing and so comfy for long journeys, jogging and naps. It handled beautifully too, very rare in doubles. I really miss it.

Personally I'd go vista.
I sell both in my store and both are great but the vista is my biggest seller (of any pram brand)

Vista will only cost £50 to make into a double
Orange used to come with 2x frames so it was only the adapters needed but not anymore they've changed it since last year.

Vista is more expensive

Vista has a better basket and more luxury carrycot

Orange has nicer fabrics and design in my opinion

Orange has built in buggy board

Both are very reliable- I never have problems with them.

The double vista is huge, heavy and awkward!
Honestly I’d get a single out n about 360 with carrycot and adapters for the first six months and then when you need a double invest in the double out n about is by far the best double buggy. So light and easy to manoeuvre.
