Help! I'm so overwhelmed when it comes to prams!

Please can you help me? I've been looking and looking and I'm none the wiser. I think a travel system is really what I'm after. Here's what I'm looking for:

• Ideally something forwards and backwards facing, that can be used from birth but then as a pushchair when they get older.
  
• I'd like to be able to clip the carseat in to the chassis easily with no adaptors etc.
  
• To be good for walking round a busy town, occasionally rougher tracks.
  
• Compact and easy to fold and stick in the boot.
  
• Plenty of storage space underneath.
  
• Extendable handles as there's quite a height difference in the people that will be pushing!
  
• Won't be really using public transport so how easily it folds isn't a major issue but obviously not too much of a pain.
  

Any ideas or recommendations?! Thank you in advance for your help.

I preferred the Balios S over the M and I can't remember why now. We found a Mutsy second hand in the end so we didn't get either.

We've just bought the Cybex Balios M with the exact same requirements as you. It only cost £325 with the carrycot included too which is way more reasonable than some of the others suggested

I have the Mamas and Papas Occarro. It meets all your criteria plus it's beaut! The buggy seat is suitable from birth as it lies flat. It does need adapters for the car seat but they're super easy to slot in and there's a little slot in the basket that they fit perfectly in!

The pram top is quite small though. My baby is 9 weeks and 12lb5 and already we've swapped to the buggy. She hated not having room to starfish out. It would never have lasted til she was 6 months!

Babyzen yo-yo + fits most criteria, but handles aren’t extendable. But my friends have a large height difference within the couple and both love it too!

I’m due DC2 very soon and I’ve bought a bugaboo bee this time around. I like the fact it folds small and the weight lint so high enough if DC1 wants to sit down and I’ll pop DC2 in the sling.

I’d definitely think about if you are planning another in the next few years. I had an Orb with my first and it was so big and awkward I couldn’t wait to swap to a stroller at 6 months and the seat unit was tiny

I had the silvercross wayfarer for DD and loved it. I'm now selling it to get a cosatto giggle 2 for DS on the way.

I would have kept it but really fancied a change!

Plus point all suitable from birth without carrycot so take up less space in the car.

Most of them do need adapters unfortunately.

We have a silver cross which has been fab, it hits most of your points, and the car seat base makes loading the LO in to the car so much easier!

The only down side is it does take up a lot of space in the boot. But we plan to get a small folding buggy now DDs nearly 6 months.

Graco travel system with Isofix base. fits everything on your list, best thing we brought, rave about it to everyone all the time!

If you think you'll have a second before number 1 is 4 then consider one that either converts to a double or you can add a rumble seat to, especially if you have a long stride length. Ours just has a buggy board on and I'm forever clipping my ankles on it.

@Emma198 that pram looks like it's going to be really heavy. It also has the old folding mechanism which means that it won't fit to most car booths.

The wheel size is good for occasional rougher tracks though. And make sure what's the storage capacity. Most prams can only take 5kg max which is very little. I wouldn't have anything smaller than 10kg max.

Uppababy Vista. It's not the smallest but ticks all your other boxes. Loads of (very easy to access) storage underneath which was a big plus for us. Wheels come on and off very easily if you need to make it smaller.
