Hi everyone, I am new to Mumsnet and this is my first thread!bI'm having my first child, currently 24 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

I am looking in to prams and am drawn to the Oyster 2 because of its reasonable price, small size and weight and the fact that it lays flat.

I was wondering if anyone has this pram or has had this pram and their opinion on the Pram?

My boyfriend and I are keen to get a lay flat pram so that we do need need to buy or use the cot bed for the pram, but instead a good foot muff to compensate.... However it is a winter baby due October 12th....

Would really appreciate some help!

Many thanks,

Natalie Smile

I've got an oyster 2. It's a great all rounder travel system but I don't use it as much now my toddler is over one year old as I find it doesn't fold small enough for my VW polo boot unless I remove the seat. I also have the changing bag, carry cot and winter foot muff. I'm actually thinking of selling and getting a double now that number 2 is on the way Wink

Thank you very much for your comment and congratulations on number two! I have a VW Polo too so I may need to reconsider.....!

I was wanting to get the Oyster 2 due to the lay flat option, did you ever use this feature instead of the cot?

It will fit in the polo boot ok but you have to take off the parcel shelf and the seat of the pushchair. I had a February baby and used the carry cot for about four months. I think you could use the lie flat seat fine but it's a faff having to strap them in and I just liked the 'pram' look of the carry cot. I also could carry the sleeping baby around the house in his carry cot which you couldn't do with the seat. I wouldn't say that matters much though.

Tbf you will have to dismantle any travel system to fit in a polo boot. I now use an armadillo city buggy which fits flat and complete on the floor of the polo boot with tons of space to spare.
