Looking for some Bugaboo love!

So, I had my heart set on a Bugaboo Buffalo......until I started talking to my antenatal friends and almost every single one of them is getting either the Uppababy Vista or Cruz. Then I was out house hunting in a different part of London to where I currently live and no exaggeration, almost every pram that went past was an Uppababy.

So, I know there is major love out there for the Uppababy prams......can anyone tell me about either the Bugaboo Buffalo or Cameleon3? Can't seem to find any recent comments/ advice and I'd like to hear about the pros and cons from those of you who are using/ have used them. Any advice gratefully received!

I love my cam3. Used it daily, never bought another pram/buggy. DD is 2, and still naps in it (on the rare occasion she deigns to nap).

The donkey is wider than a regular pram but converts to a double later.

I have a Bee, it's lovely and small and makes every other pram seem enormous. Takes up very little space in our house, gets into small spaces in shops and buses, and can turn on a sixpence - important for town living. And we are still using it for DD age 3 when others have sold their prams and got a Maclaren (I hate maclarens). It does have rubbish tiny wheels but then if the wheels were bigger it would be bigger and heavier and harder to turn...

I wouldn't buy the Cam - if I was happy with something that size I'd go for the Cruz, mainly because of the rubbish basket on the Cam. Or maybe an Easywalker Mosey (seem to remember it got lots of love on MN pushchair topic).

I had a bugaboo bee and loved it, we are in London, typical narrow terraced house. Having a narrow nippy pram was perfect, didn't take up too much space in the hall, good for buses and trains, and we could get it in the boot of our very small car. It's still the pram I see the most around here.

I used daily for nearly 4 years. Bloody marvellous it was.

I bought a Bugaboo Bee. Much lighter. Unlike all of my other friends, I have only ever bought a single buggy. The Bee is light enough for use on public transport. I could fold it and carry it under one arm and DS under the other (and I'm tiny). The giant Bugaboos look like a real pain, but I love my Bee Plus. And where I live in London pretty much everyone has one!

Oh just remembering I did envy my friend with the uppababy having a one piece fold once when we both got on a crowded bus. Folding a cam on a bus when you've got two children and a buggy board attached is not doable.

Love my cam3. I've had a lot of pushchairs and a good friend has the uppababy, which is excellent too and cheaper than the cam hence very popular. I think the suspension on a bugaboo is better than any other pushchair though.

No regrets getting the Buffalo. Yes, it's heavy but it's solidly built and great on the rough pavements and in the nearby park where we live, as well as being great on the beaches where my family live. The shopping basket is really easily accessible too and holds a lot of stuff. The foam filled tyres are a god-send as I really can't be dealing with punctures.

I love the cam 3 and don't regret it for a second. Turns on a pin, looks great, and is so easy to manoeuvre one handed. Go for it.

Thank you all for your comments. Ah yes, I didn't think about compatibility with more children! V important consideration......at least it sounds as if I could sell it for a decent price if I need to! I do think Bugaboos are very well made too, think I'm going to bite the bullet and order!

I guess this shows that everyone is different and just go with what suits your lifestyle the best. I did sell my bugaboo for a good price after. That's a big positive!

My friend had an Uppababy, loved it for the first 6 months then got fed up with it as she found it heavy to get in and out of the car etc. I have had a cam and a bee and loved both!

Had the chameleon 3 and loved it, now have the uppababy and it's ok... but mostly using it as a double so not really comparable. An important consideration for me would be if it's at all possible that you'll have another one in the next three years or so - in that case the Uppababy is much better since you wouldn't have to change prams.

Bugaboos are good solid prams with a lively second hand market, so not a bad choice either way!

I loathed my bugaboo chameleon. It was a massive pain in the arse and DS hated te baby carriage bit he was never snug. It was an expensive trolley. The 2 bit was a nightmare when he was older and he never seemed comfy. Oh with dc2 now and like the look of the bee tho. But our circumstances are different now (school runs, need to be easy and quick Ect) I've not done much research yet tho.

We have an uppababy, I think the feeling is they are a great option and not as costly? Sorry that really doesn't help!
