Hi!
We have very generously been offered our first pram from my parents- my auntys and people I know have all had bugaboo cameleon and at first I said no thanks cause of the price... Untill I went to mothercare at the weekend
I lOVE IT
I didn't like any other pram as much, it was amazing. We were looking at silver cross wayferer before and I really didn't see any competition... But like I said I'm new! Please tell me what I need to know :)
I will be walking quite a lot with pram and also using car when other half isn't at work in it. Everything's local to me so don't really use buses ever. My mums happy to buy the cam3 as it's her favorite too..
So..
-would you recommend it?

  • if not why?
  • what else would you reccomend?
  • also anyways to get discount on the bugaboo ? E.g baby events or in store with buying car seat and isofix base?

Also I looked at the bee but my rugby player boyfriend does not suit it and I don't think it'll be good for us !

I recently bought a second hand cameleon and am about to sell it as am not getting on with it at all.

Things I dislike are the

  • wobbly handle (not sure if this is better on the cam 3)
  • doesn't go down kerbs well
  • the 2 part fold
  • difficult to manage with 1 hand if there is a camber to the pavement - veers towards the road.

I really regret selling my mountain buggy - it handled so much better

It's the best. I tried to buy cheaper and ended up going through 5 pushchairs before giving in and buying the cam. I love it. You will not regret it Grin. I now using it for second baby with the wheeled board for my toddler and it's still going strong.

Bugaboo cam is a brilliant pushchair. Like tiggy, I've had a lot of pushchairs, both for this baby and my older daughter, and the cam is one of my favourites. It's comfy for a new baby, but still quite neat folded compared to other big pram systems and as light to lift as many strollers. older toddlers it's still good as it's very lightweight to push even with a very heavy 2.5/3yo, and the seat is a good size. My only bugbear is that the basket it very hard to access when the carrycot is on.

You'll love it.
There is no better brand, I've had a lot. Trust me Grin

I can see why you like the Wayfarer - its really beautifully presented. However it is really horrible to push and steer. I think you are doing right getting the Cameleon. I have had two and I love them. A fab pushchair.

I love my bugaboo cam. I walk everywhere and Central London streets are pretty rough on suspension but the cam can cope.i don't need to fold it down very often though. The basket underneath is tricky to get to when it's in the pram setup but once you switch to the pushchair setup it's fine and quite big.

I had the vista, it is great.
However, the wheels are a touch wider, the suspension is not as good as the cam and felt a little flimsier to me, the handle foam was not as nice and you are touching that part all the time so needs to be comfy IMO. Plus sides are the adjustable calf rest, hood, carrycot is delicious and the one piece fold is good but very long! Basket is huge, but cam 3 is big enough for me and I sold vista and kept cam

Hi, I have an uppababy vista which I love and rate but have friends who have the bugaboo, and they love it. Two things the uppababy have which make it better IMO are 1. Shopping basket, MUCH bigger on the uppababy and although I didn't think much about this before baby arrived they really do need a lot of stuff- yet with the uppababy I can fit in quite a lot of shopping as well as his stuff, the bugaboo basket seems a lot smaller. 2. The child in the bugaboo seems very low down to me, much higher up in the vista. Mind you I'm tall, if you're short or average height it may well not be an issue at all.

I love my cameleon and I spent months and months researching pushchairs and prams and all the different options. The bugaboo has everything! The only thing I dislike is that it doesn't fold in one piece (you have to remove the seat).

What I did was I looked up packages online, like the cameleon 3 with the maxi cosi pebble and adapters and then went into my local shop to see if they would price match.

This was what we got and the price we paid, just from somewhere else!

I love my cam 3, my two yo is a breeze to push still and I walk everywhere and find it comfortable for near enough everywhere. As for discounts it can be good messaging independant stockists, I had 10% off mine from W H watts, always worth an ask!

You will need to consider accessories, I have a high performance footmuff and it is fab but £s!
