Travel system help

Need a travel system with carrycot under £400, don't want 2nd hand leftover's,looked at graco evo/XT and tested them out at babies r us but them seem way to low down to the ground i like the look of the britax duo might be worthwhile getting a dual we plan on having another child in the near future after DD1 is born so could be worth it to get it all now and save some money it is a big price tag though :( any other options have looked at the ebay travel system but no sure on regulations of them HELP :( .....oh and we have a large car boot so thats not a factor

DH has said no to a britax b dual :( we are now looking at graco evo and the graco quattro tour which i really love i wish they did a graco reverse in the UK :( anyone used Graco prams before ? I have tested the quattro tour and i really like it its a bit on the bulky side but the newborn cocoon thing looks amazing

i have seen the oyster max in mothercare i didnt like it though it seemed to thick and bulky its a very squat low down frame too. im doing some research on the joie brand to see how good they are

Yeah as a tandem the vista is very limited, esp for newborn and younger toddler. I was definitely thinking of it as a single in this case. Have you seen the oyster max in person?

Aah i thought it was the older one it looks nicer than the newer B Duals they looked like black plastic at a first glance lol and even if we dont have DC2 id still like the option of a single that can turn into a tandem should we need it i like the vista but the rumba seat looks insanely uncomfortable i saw a post on here earlier about a lady who's DD was hanging out of it

The silver frame b duals with the multi spoke wheels are the older ones, the black frames with single spoke wheels are a newer model. The main seat is high but given you're concerned about low seats on singles how will you feel about the very low seat on a tandem style double? The uppababy vista has a high seat too and has a lot of similarities with the b dual.

The joie chrome has a high seat, very light to push, compact etc. yes, cheaper brand so good for two hundred odd but you wouldn't be expecting anything too flash quality wise.

The adapters raise it a fair bit. I can't remember exactly how much. The pushchair is a great design for the price.

I really wouldn't buy a tandem now before first baby tbh. We have a 15 month gap and never used one as far easier IMO to sling/ buggy board/ eldest walk. If you have a 2 year gap it's probably a waste of money.

Especially if you use a bus a lot, you will find prams a pain tbh. Most only take 2 so if 2 prams already on you end up waiting ages for a bus to arrive that has space.

On a bus I used just sling with ds1.And with toddler and baby sling and pram for a few months then just baby in sling and eldest walking with reins/ without as older

How high do they raise it ? its so low to the ground they would have to be at least 3" ...

Have you considered the Oyster with height adapters to raise the carrycot? The adapters are about 15 I think.

Yh i though that when i first saw it but the one i want it the Dual neon black with the silver frame i think it an older one that the black frame/wheel ones and im factoring in footmuffs car seat and 2nd older child seat for DC2 in the future too so it adds up fast this was all on mothercare it's so gorgeous though plus tested it in store its bulky but a dream to push i need to convince DH £1k is the going price for a tandem these days

yh but they are still classed as buggies in the buggy section of most baby retailers aren't they ? and after watching countless video's of women ranting and raving about the bugaboo's folding mechanism on YouTube its put me off for life lol plus DH hates the look of them as soon as he saw they were held together by Velcro and saw the price tag he was off like a rocket toward the Graco's it was quite funny to watch. I wish Stokke had a twin they have the Crusi thing but that supposed to be a pile of c**p only 2 reviews on here and they are both bad :( i love the fluffy accessory's for them

On kiddicare atm the britax is £299 and the carrycot £45. Well within budget

The babyzen yoyo and the bugaboo aren't umbrella fold. Both have fully recline cocoon and parent face

I don't think you really get any higher up prams unless you get the stokke xplory. And that's not compact.

The oyster is higher than say the bugaboo cameleon we had.

Btw we only have the bugaboo cameleon and its easier to put a heavy child in as has big wheels/ suspension etc.

Think im going to have to up my budget and Buy the Britax B-Dual and all it bits and bobs cant get it out of my head since i saw it on what to expect when your expecting lol it's almost £1k for the whole set though

I dont like the bugaboo's i knew someone would suggest those things and we really want a compact high up travel system i'd only use an umbrella fold once DD was about 2ish if she isnt already walking by then i think a 2yr old in a travel system would be too much weight to push the oyster is like the sola too low down near car and fumes etc

If you get buses lots I would scrap the travel system and get a new baby zen yoyo 0+ £350 ish

Or just about a bugaboo bee but might be jut over price range

i use buses a lot so three wheeler are out of the question for got to mention that also all the 3 wheeler ive seen out and about are always all over the place with the wheel bouncing about they don't look appealing ill add the joie to my list and check it out in-store at mothercare

What about the nipper v3?

You don't actually need a carrycot, just that the pram lays flat for newborn. If you look at just pushchairs instead of the whole travel system you will get more for your money

Joie is supposed to be a cheap brand like hauck and sola is too low down like the evo :(

Mother care have the joie on offer at the moment for £250
Pram, carrycot and cat seat, foot muff and rain cover so you can buy a car seat base also. We looked at this one and the mamas and papas sola2.
