Is the stokke xplory the highest pram/seat or is something else now?

I am unable to bend much, so I need a pram/pushchair which is as high up as possible. Is the stokke xplory still the highest pram/pushchair, or is there something else now that's as high or higher?

I know this is an old thread, and a lot of the push chairs on here look like they no longer sell. Just wondering if anyone has any current recommendations or the stokke is still the highest?

Oh, it's a complete bugger on the Tube, though. I'd never recommend a Londoner bought one in a million years - we had to use the disabled tube map when we visited people (and God was that an eyeopener on how poorly those in wheelchairs are served - but that's another issue).

We had a Stokke with DS and used it from birth to 3 1/2. Loved it and will use when the new baby arrives. I had terrible SPD so same boat as you; was a physio rec based on the company's reputation. Never regretted it for a second (and we lived in a house that had stairs to the front door - just bumped it up).

It is expensive so if an imitator that matches (or almost, depending on the saving) has come along meanwhile then that's what we would have gone for. I don't care about the look - and that's just as well after solid years of use, and it being the V2 model! - but it honestly is incredibly functional, especially if you have mobility problems. The height is wonderful and meant DS really appreciated it - he never had it lower as he liked talking to us and seeing people's faces rather than legs. And he wanted to be rearfacing for the same reason until he outgrew it, too.

If someone has a copycat cheaply then go for it. If not, the Xplory is IMO worth every penny. And I'm a cheapskate who buys most stuff for kids 2nd hand, too.

Seat height is good, within an inch or two of the xplory. IMO the joolz seat isn't in the same league comfort wise as the xplory/crusi (they have the same seat)
I don't know whereabouts in the uk you are but if you are anywhere near Rotherham in west yorkshire there is a mothercare outlet which has the xplory and crusi in several colours for about £650. They have full 3 year stokke warranty with them too. Also back in action are selling the v3 xplory at a v good price at the moment and are online (v4 just released this month with some minor changes)
I've had loads of prams over the years and the stokke is my favourite

Thanks tatty, apart from the basket issue on the joolz day, how was the seat compared height wise? I like that the crusi hasn't got a higher seat height as it is about £200 more expensive than the xplory

I've had joolz day, xplory and crusi so far for this baby, as like you I have a bad back and can't bend well (also I'm tall and look slightly ridiculous with my fat arse in the air bending double to low down seats)
I hated the joolz as I found the basket very small (pointless actually, you can fit the raincover in it and that's about it) and then the chassis collapsed on me mid walk with baby in it and it took them 9 weeks to send me a replacement.
In the mean time I had bought an xplory second hand and I will never ever sell it. Its amazing. The seat is large and comfy and so supportive, she never looks slumped or uncomfortable in it. Its easy to fold, the covers all come off for washing, all the functions are very easy to use and the accessories are incredible.
I also bought the crusi chassis to use with the xplory seat I have so that I had a more rugged off road option. The crusi seat sits about - inch lower than the xplory, not enough to notice really. I prefer the basket on the crusi which is huge, and also think its a neater fold than the xplory, and I like the foam handle, but it doesn't push quite as smoothly as the xplory and its not quite as easy to steer one handed, but again that's marginal. The crusi chassis is also quite a bit lighter than the xplory which will be important if you struggle to lift.
Also, stokke customer service is outstanding, I had a problem with the handle on my izi sleep car seat, they sent me a brand new replacement seat within 5 days. Earlier this week the push button for the handle height adjustment on my crusi chassis went a bit funny, I sent in a video on Monday morning and my brand new replacement chassis arrived on Thursday at 9am.

Phone Cheeky Rascals and ask about them. They should be able to help.
Also look at a Joolz Day - they also have high seats.

Had a look at the mima ones, not seen them before, but could not find a price anywhere!?! Anyone got any ideas?

The City Select has a high seat if you use the upper setting too.

I saw a phil and teds promenade this afternoon used as a single, the seat sits high on that, higher than the vista definitely.

What about the mima xari/ or mima kobi. I think the stokke and kobi are very similar in height. The kobi will turn into a double if that might be of use otherwise the xari.

The Xplory seat is only marginally higher than the Crusi. I did measure the difference between the Xplory and Vista once upon a time for someone and I think there's a couple of inches difference in height.
I would be interested in knowing the difference between the height of the Xplory and the Bugaboo Buffalo, because the Buffalo seat is fairly high too.
The new iCandy Peach 3 apparently will have an elevator convertor bar which will allow a baby to be positioned higher and closer to the parent.

the uppababy vista is also ridiculously light, if that's a consideration?

They were both tall enough for me (6 foot tall with long limbs). All other pushchairs were too low in both seat and handles. The stokke was marginally less tall than the uppababy in height, I think the seat might have been marginally taller but I can't say for sure.

Thanks star, when I looked last year that was the best, glad as it is cheaper than the new crusi! Just wanted to check there wasn't something new out. My brothers pram seems down by my ankles in comparison!

My physio recommended the Xplory for it's height and I have not regretted buying it. I haven't seen or pushed anything that I think is as good. DD is now 13 months and we have used it every single day of her life.

Eyesore, is there much difference in the height of the uppa baby and the xplory?
Difficult to get to a showroom at the moment, and couldn't find actual floor to seat height measurements on the web

I'm going for the uppababy vista as it's also pretty tall and cheaper. And folds up smaller.

The Crusi is not as high as the Xplory.
