Ok firstly sorry if this has been posted before -my comp wont load threads for some reason

i need a pushchair for a newborn and a 2.5 year old. The toddler seat needs to be at the front as he wont tolerate being at the back.
i want an option to attach a car seat for new born too.... And i don't want to have to remove the seats to fold.

am i asking for too much??

I agree with Parties. The Apple 2 Pear is incredibly light to push, as tandems go, wherever the heaviest child is. The City Select is heavy even without children in! But the seating positions are good. TBH even if you can fold with the seats on - and I know several tandems which do - its often easier and neater to store in pieces. They can be big chunks to lift and carry as one piece. However, I have used the Apple 2 Pear folded in one piece a lot in the car boot. The City Select folds as one piece, but its more tricky to achieve and you risk getting one set of fabrics dirty.

They aren't all difficult to push like the city select, the front seat on that is directly over the front wheels, most aren't set up like that. The apple2pear is very very light to push, as is the oyster max and the twone, all with the toddler at the front.

I agree re the bdual, i always found it easier to push with the toddler on top, at the time I assumed it was designed that way on purpose.

I have the b dual with a 3 month old and a toddler exactly two years older. I switch the kids around - find it harder to push with toddler at the bottom/back. We have a maxi cosi car seat rather than Britax and I understand there are other adapters that aren't sold for the b dual that you can use but never bothered getting them as DS hates car seat anyway!

Hmm looks like I'll look for one where the toddler seat is raised, so they can see

thanks girls

The problem is that toddler at the front makes any tandem very difficult to push as all the weight is in the wrong place. The nearer you can keep the heaviest child to the centre of the pushchair the better a time you will have.

I had a Babyjogger City Select which allows you to put the seats in many different positions but its not perfect. I gave up in the end. Ended up with my (2nd) twofold which isn't what you want but works for us.

Yes Grin

Well.. possibly not but nothing is perfect.

The icandy apple 2 pear folds all as one and takes a car seat in the rear position (i think, i assume since the peach does). Although the seat measures an okay size a 2.5yo is probably going to look pretty big in it.

The britax b dual does what you ask.

Both are um... not small to lift when folded with everything on.

Almost all tandems are set up with the toddler at the front and newborn behind, i wanted the opposite and there really aren't many. The sticking point in what you have asked for is folding with both seats on.

I think the tfk joggster twist folds with the buddyseat on but that's not with the newborn set up.
