Help please! Need to replace my Loola

DS is only 6m but is very big (quite chubby but v long too) and even with the strap extensions they are only just fitting now.

I already have a M&P Ziko unbrella buggy which I love so I don't want a lightweight buggy - I want a proper pushchair for dog walking and the school run etc. I don't have to worry about space as I don't mind if there's no space in the boot of my car (runabout) and dh's is a Merc Vito so it's not an issue!

I'm thinking possibly about a Bugaboo Cam but 2nd hand (ebay). There are lots of Geckos available but are they as good? The reviews on here suggest they might be but I can't work it all out! My dsis has a cam and loves it as does one of my friends but my sil has a P&T which she loves. I don't like the fact that it only faces out though as he's only little still. But I'm open to suggestions!

Help please oh wise ones!

I had a luna before which I liked but found that when ds1 was lying flat (to sleep) it was very back heavy if you know what I mean? It would tip back a bit too much to go up kerbs etc!

I don't mind using another pram for 12-18m then swapping to my Ziko as he'd be 2yo by then so I'm not necessarily thinking about a one time purchase for ever.

Sounds like the Gecko could be worth a closer look. I checked out the Nania on ebay but there's only one second hand. I guess not being so popular I might struggle to find one in the right condition locally.

Ditto, my Gecko left unwillingly a few months ago.. they are really really good to push. The couple of years I had the gecko my friend had a cam and I can't say as I missed the extra things as long as you can live with the fixed handle, other stuff is as Hypatia says, minimal. The seat back on the gecko is shorter, which I suppose could be a deal breaker for you. Don't remember the measurements off hand but am not convinced that the Cam is significantly larger. Lots of reversible prams seem to have relatively short seat backs by comparison to stuff like your Ziko buggy, umbrella folds generally etc.

I have a Gecko. I don't think the bag's any different to be honest. If it is then it's minimal. The only significant difference is the non-adjustable handlebar. I love mine. It's unbelieveably easy and light to push, goes over very rough ground with no effort at all, has a good sized seat and decent hood. All round, it's a really good pushchair, but it may have to go in the not too distant future. :(

Check out the nania beebop, looks identical to cam and is only £300 brand new so second hand wouldnt be much t all. Other than that, luna and sola by m&p are great walking buggies, i love mine

So why did you get the cam?

And what about the frog? I'm so confused!

When I went to buy my Cam, I was told there was barely any difference between the Cam and Gecko - just that the Gecko had a smaller bag, no bumper bar and was different colours. I am sure there must be some other differences but they didn't seem worth the difference in price tag at the time.
