Oops got carried away on ebay!

After lots of research and help on here I decided on my double, a mountain buggy. I had been watching a few but spied one with only 3 minutes to go and won it. I got it for £102 plus postage which I thought was pretty good but because I didn't really have time to read the listing properly and examine the photos I didn't see that it doesn't come with a basket or rain cover or bumper bar. To get all these is going to cost close to £150 as can't see any second hand ones on ebay, feeling a bit silly now!

This is the reason I list my items as bin requiring instant payment by paypal in order to complete the sale.
It cuts out all the time wasters.
It's your responsibility to read the ad properly and ask questions prior to purchase.
Look on mountain buggy website outlet section for a great deal on a double terrain with handlebar extender and snugglebags included. It's the pre Phil & Ted takeover model too.

I had someone pull out of a sale because he didn't realise his daughter had bought 15 items while playing with his phone...Tis a pain to relist and go through the whole waiting for the auction to finish but it's not the end of the world especially since it was popular.

I'd feel sorry for the seller. It's annoying having to relist. I see you bidded at "15-Jul-11 14:00:40 BST" so you really should have read it then. The underbidder would have got it for £82.78 if you hadn't made a bid. Obviously, you can cancel if you want to but I definitely think it's worth the money. Ask her about the basket, she might actually have it.

email her, don't pay for something you don't really won't, i have been offered second chance offers loads of times.

you can always offer her the difference between your bid and the 2nd chance offer - will be £5 at most.

I do feel bad, as I said it was a spur of the moment thing and I should have looked properly. I will email her and explain and see if she wants to offer it to the next person (there were 36 bids on it and only 2 of those were mine so lots of interest.) If not I'll suck it up and sell it on myself

yes it is an urban, a terrain has 2 fixed wheels that stick out, email her now and she can do a second chance offer tonight

she has put terrain in the first details, but she also has not mentioned the lack of the basket. she can offer it to the next bidder as a second chance offer, so email her and explain you did not look at pic closely but did read the discription and thought it was a terrain mobel and nothing was mentioned about the lacking basket in discription but you have since noticed it.

in fact it looks like she has just accepted ebays whole "do you want us to put in the item specifics for you" rather than entering that herself.

As it includes the carrycot that is still a great price, I would think carefully before asking to mutually withdraw. It isn't height adustable handle but those fixed handles are low anyway (I'm 5').

i think it would be pretty off to back out of it now. as a seller she is only allowed to leave positive feedback, so you won't get negged, but it's not a very nice thing to do

it's your fault for not reading it all properly. i know she has ticked the box that it's a terrain, but she hasn't listed it as one inasmuch as putting it in the title

i think you should take it and then re-sell it if it isn't what you want.

I have got that right haven't I about it being an urban and not a terrain, I also can't see if the handle is adjustable which is vital for me being a shortarse.

really? won't I get left shoddy feedback? Or I guess if I haven't paid then that can't happen. One other thing I've noticed is that she's listed it as a double terrain but it's actually an urban (really shouldn't implulse buy!)
