Phil &Ted owners - where do you store your rain cover? Also do you use the saddle bags? Any good?

Hi have just bought a second hand phil and teds sport which is great. But.... where do you put your rain cover when not using when out and about. It's huge! And also the other problem I have is where to put all my items. Do you use the saddle bags? It really needs more storage - I am looking after twins and they have lots of bits and bobs...

The explorer raincover is a huge pain to get back into the stupid little bag!

We tend to fold ours in the basket, it takes up an annoying amount of space.

I use a koodi-packit raincover to carry about for showers. I only use the big raincover if it is really torrential rain. But I'm using mine as a single these days. If I have to take the big raincover with me I fold it and put it in the bottom of the basket.

Watching this closely, I have just got a phil $ teds and whilst the raincover is in a little bag I am not sure how easy once removed from it it is to put back in. Also resisting buying panniers and hangbag until I am desperate as they are over priced in my opinion but I am a tight bottom and after spending over £400 on the pushchair not overally happy to buy more unless really needed. My other problem is mine is the Dash model and the handle is the brake so can't put anything over that as it will just fall off when applying the brake.

I was think a large rucksack with everything in, but will wait and see how it goes on here I have a few weeks left yet.

The newer P&Ts pushchairs have bags for the raincovers which Velcro onto the handle - utterly ingenious! You could try something similar yourself. It's hard to put storage on P&Ts with the doubles kit on. You can put the mini Diddie over the doubles kit, a parent console like the Baby jogger or sunshine kids one and of course the panniers. Storage is an issue on at least half or more of the double pushchairs I have tested. When will pushchair manufacturers (apart from Bugaboo) realise children need a lot of kit especially when small!!

Hi, i have the sport, i fold the raincover and put it in the basket, i do have the saddle bags and they hold loads of shopping and if you get a changing bag with a really long strap you can hang it off the handle bar and it rests behind the second seat or i also have a skip hop bag i clip to the handlebar and that hangs really close to the handle bar, my ds never complained it was banging his head so i guess there was enough room :o, oh and i also attached one of them mesh bags you can buy for the back of pushchairs and i attached it on to the back of the back seat [top and bottom so it does not swing about] and i can also sqeeze a parent console around the handlebars for drinks, keys phone etc. and a soft holder for drinks, snack that goes onto the bumper bar. you will be surprised what you can fit on :o i don't use mine that often now, as ds is getting too big, but it always comes out for holidays as you can fit so much in it, including on the back seat if one of them is walking. never understood mums taking the back seat off when they only had one dc with them, it holds loads of shopping, reuseable bags are the best shape stack em up :o

I roll up my rain/sun cover and keep it in the shopping basket. Is plenty big enoughh for me, but I carry most of DS's junk in a small rucsac.

I don;t have the saddle bags, have never felt the need.
