Where can I find a decent parasol?

I'm on my third parasol & they have all been rubbish, either the bendy bit won't stay where you put it, or the fabric becomes unattached from the wire frame. Surely there must be a good one out there somewhere?

Thanks, you've just reminded me I must put the parasol in the car! Smile

Well I took advantage of the special offer & got a silver cross parasol - haven't used it in anger yet, but does seem alot sturdier than others I've had so am fairly hopeful! Will also be ordering one of those buggy shades (haven't decided which one yet) as they look great

Many thanks for your suggestions! Smile

I wouldn't use muslins if I were you. They offer no sun protection at all.

This is a cheaper sunshade on ebay with UPF50+.

I second aswellasyou - my Silver Cross parasol has been very good. Stays where you put it and nice and sturdy. And that's a great price reduction!

If you still want to try another parasol Silver Cross has some reduced from £20 to £7.50 and if you use the code FEB-MAR-BROCHURE-10 you'll get 10% off too. Delivery's free so it would just be £6.75. I've got this and I haven't had any issues at all-even in Cornwall last week where it was like being in a tornado at times. Hmm

oooh, they sound great - do you know if they will fit a pram too? If not, I'll go with the muslin & clothes pegs for now!

a muslin with 2 clothes pegs/ bulldog clips to hold it to the hood :)
Honest, will do much more good than any other contraption

I'll second (or third) that. Parasols blow off in a breeze, are a pita to get in the right position to cover baby, and as soon as you go round a corner, you have to faff with the bloody thing all over again. do yourself a favour and buy a shade a babe or similar.

Parasols are rubbish. A protect a bub or similar is much better. Expensive but worth it..

I wouldn't bother with a parasol tbh. Get a shade a babe that attaches to the hood, muvch better IMO.
