We are considering move to Gronant and was hoping that you could share your experience of living in the area. In particular crime, food and shopping. Many thanks

Fab thanks all, we’re looking to move from the Chester so not too far. Helpful to know Prestatyn has nice shops, I tried googling the area but I guess with it being so small there’s not a lot of info online. We’re quite quiet and wanted a semi rural life, somewhere we can walk the dogs off the lead, and a dog friendly pub - would be us living the dream

l forgot to add, all major supermarkets, inc Waitrose and Ocado, deliver but a car is a must. Also, if you have a NHS dentist where you are don’t tell them if you move. You can’t get an NHS dentist around here!

I live in a village nearby. No real shops in Gronant itself, a newsagent and a chippy by the holiday park, but, as PP has said, Prestatyn has a large Tesco, a M&S and a very good range of independent shops inc a couple of reasonable delis. Eating out, again Prestatyn is the closest. Not a great deal of fine dining although Patagonia is reliable. There’s some country pubs that do ok food, a well rated Chinese and some good Indian restaurants that also do takeaways. Crime wise, I don’t hear of anything but check on the police.com website.

Not sure where you live at the moment but North Wales ..... No money, not exciting...... (cheap though)

I like the shops in Prestatyn. Really nice high street of independent shops and a big shopping centre with M&S Tesco Sports Direct etc. We don't go there very often, it is very busy in summer.
