Moving to Harpenden due to husband’s change of job. 3.5 yo boy and 3 month baby girl. Any advice on area for state primary (not church goers). Location to secondary school less important as more likely to go private. Potentially might not move in time for early 2023 deadline for school applications - do I have any chance or will I have to consider private primaries ?

hi - I just noticed this post, as we are moving from Australia in July, and moving to the Harpenden/St Albans area, and we are also looking at areas to move into.
We will most likely need to find a rental initially, before settling on buying a house. I'm very new to this forum, so I don't really know how to navigate it. What's the primary school forum?

But Harpenden though...😬All that glitters is not gold. Just bc it's popular with the very wealthy doesn't make it a nice place. But I guess I could say that about many of the London commuter towns.

Hello, I am also moving to Harpenden, Im worried I won’t get my preferred school Wood End. On the council website it says there’s no space across the school
