Hi ladies hoping for some advice.

Took my DD (9) to the walk in centre as she had a bit of vaginal bleeding. Doctor told me it may be the onset of puberty. She seems so young .

Has any one else had DD this young start puberty?

She has no breast buds but a small amount of public hair.

Doctor told me she may have "spotting" for a few years before periods properly starts.

She is also autistic so is finding it all a bit much.

Any advice?

Poor girl. Flowers There were lovely ideas on a thread a while back, making her up a basket of lovely girly things she'd like. I fully intend to do one for DD when she starts. Does she understand what's going on?

Yes that's the one!

I'm just so shocked like I said she hasn't developed breast buds or had many symptoms.

She's also short for her age, always gets mistaken for 6 or 7 .

My dd started at 9, she took it in her stride although obviously different for your dd being autistic

Oh you poor DD. I’ve met a few women over the years who have started their periods this young. Has she got any good books on how her body will change?
