Meltdowns in 11yo

Currently struggling with dd11, over the last couple of years she's had problems with friendships and bullying leading to low self esteem, she also struggles with general anxiety and several more specific phobias, but when she begins to get slightly anxious it is displayed by extreme anger/meltdown verbal abuse, and aggression towards whoever is there, usually me! As she has meltdowns every day, I am getting really down as she hits, pulls my hair, etc. Once the red mist has descended she refuses to go to her room to calm down or allow me to remove myself so I'm just the resident punch bag at the moment. After a couple of hours of calming down she is extremely apologetic, feels terrible and hates herself even more for having done it. We are currently on the waiting list for our local mental health service (6month wait) and on the waiting list to see the school student support advisor, although she is a model pupil at school, so I don't know what else to do. Has anyone else experienced this? I have seen other threads mentioning 'preteen meltdown pattern' but currently feel like I'm totally alone in trying to deal with it. I have read that deficiency in some vitamins and minerals can exacerbate things. Has anyone found vitamin supplements to help?
