Prenatal vitamins and upset tummies

Has anyone found that Pregnacare really upsets their tummy?

Ive been taking them for almost three weeks now and I've had loose stools almost every morning and now colicky stomach pains and I'm convinced it's the iron in the Pregnacare tablets (I think they contain 120% of you recommended daily dose).

Think I'm going to revert to just targeted supplements like a folic acid and Vit D. If anyone did get an upset tummy, was just wondering how long it took to clear after you changed supplements?

There are a few threads on here that talk about issues with pregnacare. I'd try something different

Try something different. Or take them last thing at night, literally minutes before you nod off, it was a game changer for me.

I had to stop using Pregnacare. As soon as I reached for it I’d start heaving, it made me so queasy. I switched to a Seven Seas version which also contains ginger so they are better, though I’m still suffering with nausea most of the time anyway.

Yes! I switched to a multivit with no iron and took spatone, which has iron in an easier to absorb form.

Yea it made me feel really sick. It does to a lot of people

I changed to Seven seas ones and felt soooo much better within a day!

I took Pregnacare and thought it was giving me a bad belly. Expected it to clear up when I stopped them at 12 weeks but it’s still ongoing and I’m on week 29 Grin

For me it’s just one of the quirks of my pregnancy.

I took pregnacare with my first child didn't really like it plus it was a lot more pricier. The second time I took a different brand with the same vitamins and it felt much better and easier to swallow too. Was recommended by the midwife. Try an alternative brand.

I had the same! Switched to seven seas pregnancy vits and they suited much better
