MAM Bottles?
Squellyolwelly · 09/01/2021 17:47
Don't know if i'm posting this in the right section but 29 weeks pregnant trying to plan ahead!
Has anyone used MAM anti colic bottles? I've heard they sometimes let unsterilized water in and just wanted to see what experiences other parents have with them! Most of what I've heard has been good, and I like the idea of them being self sterilizing as we're already low on storage space. I do intent to breastfeed but want to make sure I have some bottles on hand just in case, and for once i start expressing if all goes well.
Thanks in advance :)

They are excellent. All the components come apart for the microwave self sterilisation. No problems with leaking.
They last as well as you just buy the next size teat up each time rather than a whole new bottle.
You will use them when you move on to formula/ cows milk so they are worth the investment.

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion I'm not entirely sure tbh haha. I think it's something to do with the anti colic holes at the bottom? My sister mentioned it earlier so just wanted to see if anyone had experienced issues with it. I'm FTM so haven't used anything other than the tommee tippee my niece has, and obviously being my niece I've only fed her with those occasionally!

I use them as well, I think I read somewhere that the holes let water in if you were to put the bottle in hot or cold water to heat up or cool down the bottle. I think the website advises removing the lid to avoid this as then there is no vaccume not sure how practical that is as I'm sure the bottles float.

@Misty999
yes this. we solved the problem of cooling them by buying cheap bottle coolers, the sort you keep in the freezer and pull out when you need them.
