Hi.

I have a 3 yr 3 m old who's potty training has gone horrible wrong.
We are 3 weeks in and despite having a few successes wit wee in potty and even poop on potty early on, she now won't pee!
We have given her back her nappies but she is holding her wee up. After breakfast she lies on the couch, face down and won't wee in nappy. She knows she has wee in her tummy, she is in pain, she is crying and refusing to do anything. I have tried every incentive and trick I can think of. It will take til mid afternoon for her to let it out after a lot of anger and tears and pain. This has been going on for a week now and if anything, fear of doing anything, in nappy or potty, it's getting worse.

Please - desperately need some help.

TIA

Have you tried a bath to help her go? Sometimes a hot bath helps to release and she may feel more comfortable🤗

I’d speak to GP go rule out a urine infection.
What we did was have 4 potties around the house, and arrange for her to be alone in a room with one when she looked like she needed a wee. Having the privacy helped her learn how to release. So I’d literally set up a toy in her bedroom and then nip out for 5 min. When I returned she’d often gone.
Bribes/books/bubbles etc hadn’t worked. Getting out the way did.

Good luck
