Potty training

Do you think dd is ready?

I know these sorts of threads have been done to death, but after the nightmare that was (is) training dd1, I don't want to cock it up with dd2!

She's 22 months, and has been telling me for the past month or so when she's pooed, by pointing to her bottom and telling me "poo poo". Then the past few days she's told me a few minutes before pooing.

Before bath, she asks for a wee when her big sister goes on the toilet. I sit dd2 on the potty, but she never does anything. However, she asks for paper and wipes herself.

Her understanding of things seems very good and she can easily dress herself. She also loves to wash her hands when she sees me doing mine.

My only concern is that we spend a fair amount of time in car, taking dd1 to and from nursery and other things. Not quite sure how potty training works in that situation!

Any opinions appreciated!
