Day one of pt today and we are having total refusal to even sit on the potty dd (2.4) is getting upset when we ask, normaly she will quite happy to sit on it. Is it even worth trying to continue? Or bribery to sit on the potty? I am really quite clueless with this whole thing.

I have been told this is the wrong way to do it - but what worked for us was no clothes from waist down (dd not me & dp) during warm weather - wood floors so no carpet probs. just left the potty somewhere handy, eventually she weed in it :) once she got it, no accidents
poo was another story....

Did you try getting her to sit on it? She is getting very upset she wets herself but even more upset if we suggest sitting on the potty. I'm trying to work out if its worthwhile continuing with her getting so upset over it.

We had this with ds when he was about 2.2. He said he wanted to wear pants but after the first day got incredibly upset about going on the potty. Tbh we just decided he wasn't ready & went back to nappies. He's finally started using the potty this week at 2.9.

Girls often do train earlier than boys but she is still young, so if she's upset I'd prob wait a month or 2 & try again & you might find she's more receptive next time.x
