my daughter has been fully potty trained for almost a year now , i wasnt going to train her at night but she decided if she was a big girl who didnt wear nappys during the day she was going to be a big girl all the time and wud litraly fight with me to put a nappy or pull up on at bedtimes im a very small framed petite person and she is a very strong child and it was physicaly hurting me, and on the nights i did manage to get one on her she would take them off and wet the bed anyways , so i thout i cant keep letting her hurt me like this so i decided to go with it and did the whole geting rid of night time bottle n no juice after tea time thing , and would wake her regularly to go to the toilet , eventualy i made ti time inbetween lifting her longer and longer and she had it sussed and was dry for a good 3 or 4 months but ever since christmas shes went back to bed wetting , ive tryd the lifting thing again but shes always wet when i go to lift her , i have a 4 month old baby and its a nightmare now , im getting so tierd ... she regularly stays with my brother as his partner has a wee boy the same age as her (who is only just started potty training) and he very ignorantly put her in a pull up a few weeks ago at night so he would have to bother with wet beds ect, and this confused her and the folowing monday at nursery she wet herself 3 times and told the teacher that she had a good girls nappy on at her uncles... so i know i cannot go back to using pull ups at night and i DO NOT want to do that anyways , so does anyone have any idea on how i can get her to stay dry at night, she is stil quite young as she wont be 3 til august but she was doing so well and even when the baby arived she was adamint she was a BIg girl ... im going through about 3 pairs of pyjamas a night and 3 bed mats and sheets ....... any help will be very very apriciated x

Its sounds as though she regressing backwards with it maybe because you have had a newbaby?
Sometimes it can make them regress back into baby-like behaviour for instance wanting to drink out of a bottle or in your case bedwetting.
Maybe you could try pyjama pants for now just at night, there is nothing wrong in using them if it is only for nightime use.
She will grow out of it before you know it, i went through this with dc2 when dc3 was born- when dc3 had turned 7 months dc2 had stopped doing it.
Try not to make a big deal out of it, just change the pyjama pants without saying anything and it will pass in due course.
Of course never resort back to pullups in the day time as its too easy for her not to go to the toilet.
I hope things get better for you soon op

You can't train them to be dry at night. It happens of its own accord once a hormone is released (any time between the age of 2 and 7 I believe) which stops them weeing when they're asleep. Your DD is still incredibly young to be dry at night, I'd put her back in pull ups and wait until you get a run of dry ones. And get some sleep! My DD is nearly 6 and still in them... It's really not that uncommon and is NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

My DD is only just reliably dry at night and she has just turned 4. I think you may be pushing the night time dryness before she is ready. I would definitely go back to pull to nappies especially as you have a young baby too.

My 3rd dc still isnt dry at night op, she is 3 yr 8m it takes time and some nights she is dry and some nights she isnt.
I put the pull ups on and make no big deal of it and always congratulate her if she has stayed dry
My 2nd dc also went back to wetting at night when she started school, i think sometimes 'change' can really unsettle a child and not only that a previous poster has also mentioned the bladder not being ready which can also be true- its not a big deal every child does things at different stagesSmile

I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old still in pull-ups at night and I'm not worried about it -yet. You can't train it and shouldn't try to force it. As for being physically bullied by a 2 year old, well words fail me.
