I have two family members, one in the police the other fire service who still are not prioritised for receiving the vaccine despite continually putting themselves at risk day and daily by entering people’s houses who may well have the virus. How can they be forgotten about.
Please help keep my family and thousands like them safe.
Thank you

If they and others like them have underlying health conditions they will be in group 4 or 6.
If they DONT and are under 50 then they are highly unlikely to need hospital care.
They will get it eventually but should not be prioritised above people with health conditions who are likely to end up in hospital.
Sorry

I am sorry but they are!
There has been a lot of talk of teachers having increased risk but my family members is constantly in and out of houses.
Think about it. My family member has Covid (asymptomatic) and your family member who is vulnerable calls for fire or police.
Well guess what, they are walking the virus into their house. Sorry but they are. All the months of the vulnerable being careful could be undone if an emergency service has Covid.
Doctors are prioritised, why can ambulance fire and police also not be prioritised. They aren’t even on the list! It’s ridiculous they have worked the ENTIRE way through the pandemic facing risk everyday for us and this is how we thank them.
They are the forgotten

Not without a mask, they aren’t. And they aren’t getting closely to the public unless they absolutely have to.

Paramedics are prioritised (my Trust has vaccinated over a thousand of them per week). Doctors are significantly closer to patients than your relatives will be on average. Fairly simple. 🤷🏻♀️
