My mum looks after 1 year old DS 2 days a week while I'm at work and finds our usual mamas and papas ocarro very heavy/bulky (so do I tbh, it's a PITA). She's wanting to buy him a lighter stroller to use when she has him and is asking me what I think about this one. I've never heard of it and it's not available in our local store to test it out. Does anyone have this and recommend it? It seems very cheap hence I'm a bit unsure if it will be any good?

Haven't got that one but it seems absolutely fine. It's lightweight, it reclines and has a rain over. I'd get it Halloween Wink

Hello @jelllycats
Did you get this one in the end? Keen to know your thoughts if so!
Thanks

I'd go for a branded one over generic. Look at Joie Nitro for a similar price point.

@IanBealeFan This is the exact stroller we got for my parents when they’re looking after my DD 😁 We tested it out in store and my mam loved it. Importantly she can genuinely lift it (with baby in) over our 2 steep steps into our front door, and she’s in her mid 60s (although she does go to a personal trainer tbf!).

We love it too and use it on days out cos it folds so well for the car. We bought the John Lewis footmuff to go in it (£25) cos it wouldn’t have felt cosy enough otherwise, just a note.

But just be warned the rain cover is very small and rubbish. So you’ll want a bigger and better rain cover.

One annoying thing is that the basket underneath is veeerrryyy small - but if it’s mainly for grandparents carting around a baby, it should be okay. And it’s tricky to hang a bag from the handles cos when the baby reclines in it for a nap, the bag is where their head would be - but those are the only cons.

It’s so lightweight it’s great for our town with rickety paving slabs, and easy to move around shops. For the price, it’s amazing. Hope that helps!

Yes she bought it for him and really likes it! Very lightweight and easy to fold. Agree re basket not being very big but it fits but she's never found this an issue as doesn't really take him shopping so not many bags to carry and it does fit all the essentials in like changing bag etc. She keeps it at her house and we bought the joie litetrax which is lovely lightweight again and easy to push. It does sometimes sound a bit rattly though 🤔
