What to do...?

Help!
My nursery closed a few weeks ago and we're both key workers. We managed to find another local nursery for our DD. She has settled in really well.
This nursery is a different set up to our contracted one. So the new nursery can plan, we need to let them know Friday as to whether we're keeping her there permanently or moving her back to her original one.

Our contracted one sent a document out yesterday to say that they were planning to re-open on 1 June and were gauging numbers and the nursery managers (it's a chain of 6) would be contactign parents this week.

We just don't know what to do! I'm concerned that the contracted one may close again. However, we have sat and done the maths and the new one is going to cost us approx an additional £100 more a month.

Both nurseries are rated outstanding by Ofsted.

I am not sure we can stretch to it, but equally I don't want us to be left with no childcare...

Stick to the new one if your little one has settled in well there. It isn’t fair to uproot her

I would stick with the new one for now. If the old one closes again they might not be able (or want) to have you back and then you'll be stuck.

I would stick with the new one.

What if your contracted one doesn’t open as planned or closes? The new nursery may not have the space to take you back again.

Our nursery has been very wishy washy about reopening...after being told they would reopen 1st June, they now aren’t reopening at all until July at the earliest.

It would be much less stressful for you to have a secure place!
