My DS is 13 month, we started nursery 2 weeks ago, only 8-1pm everyday. He is adjusting nicely, no cry at drop off and he started to have some sleep there too. It's spacious, friendly, they have regular garden time, and I liked the atmosphere of it.
My problem is they don't have daily book, I don't really have detailed information about his day. They have weekly book, which is more like swift message across the week. and they tend to give me very brief message when I pick him up. And only if I ask. Stuff like did he nap? Did he sleep? How was his mood today? Etc. There is a headmistress (and manager at nursery) who deals with my questions, sometimes I text her how he is doing. She always says he is doing very well and everything is fine..
Maybe it's the first mum nervousness, but this puts me little uncomfortable. And two times, he came with dirty nappy and I raised the issue, both time she said, they changed nappy just before I picked him up and he must pooed on our way home. But this never happened before, and I know he likes pooing standing up with funny face. I would know if he pooped in the buggy.
I mean.. It's not a big deal that if they missed nappy change, but I would like some kind of honest community so that I can trust them, and pick up from where they leave him.
How much of details do you get from your nursery? And if not, are you okay with it?
