My partner has a daughter who is 11 nearly 12 and acts in my opinion way to babyish. She still sits on his lap and holds his hand when out and about. She doesn't like me, even though I really tried everything!
Do you think she has a problem?
My partner, I'm sure thinks it's normal.
We have split up over this previously.

I don't think there is anything wrong or abnormal about her behaviour. sadly too often children of 11 and 12 try and act more like 14 or 15 year olds. I think its nice that she had a close bond with her dad.

Maybe think about how you can build up more of a bond with her? I know this must be hard but over time I'm sure it will happen. Good luck

No i dont think she has a problem, what i'd give to hold my daughters hand at any age! So many mums moaning about their husbands, partners etc not caring about their kids and now we have moaning about caring too much lol,
If you love ya man enough you will stick with him and his daughter and sort it out, im sure she does like you but these things take time and a lot of effort, shes allready lost her dad before and probably just holding on for dear life lol,
