Advice required please

Hi. Am looking for some advice really..
am married, got a daughter from previous relationship. (Dad pays but no part)
Got 2 kids with hubby, and 2 step kids one of which lives here, with us.
Hubby has mental health issues caused by various things, ex, his mum, his job (he no longer there) and I guess... me xx
Recently, well last year, he got really angry.. my eldest son (7) hates him... I think he had a valid reason... what do I do?
