Bleeding and cramping but rising hcg

I need some advice and stories, good or bad.
I don't have a clue what's going on and honestly the limbo is killing me.
On the 10th Feb I had a positive test, very very very faint, barely noticeable, but there. I also had some minor spotting. I retested on the 13th and it was alot darker and again on the 16th, again so much darker! On the 19th, I had sex. Afterwards, I was bleeding, not heavily but it was red and was quite abit on wiping. I assumed miscarriage, I've had so many.
I've been bleeding on and off brown and red with some very small clots and cramping in my front and back ever since.
On the 23rd, I had a blood test, hcg was 1046. I had a scan, and there was no visible sign of a pregnancy. My cervix was closed. I was diagnosed with PUL. On the 25th,
I had another scan, levels had gone up to 1666. I was asked back into the hospital on the 26th for another scan, this time there was something very small on the scan almost like a Tiny sac.
I was admitted for observation, as bleeding went from only when wiping to very slowly dripping. Some very small clots, and cramping got slightly worse.
Blood test 27th, showed levels rose again, 2274.
Im booked in for a scan Friday 4th March as can't rule out ectopic just yet.
But my levels are rising something finally appeared in uterine, despite bleeding brown and red on and off everyday and cramping like period pains.
I don't know what to do, I can't stop crying and I think I know I'm having a miscarriage but I don't want to accept it.

Pretty sure I just passed the pregnancy, pain has practically gone and bleeding is light. Thank you for your responses, hopefully no more worrying now

I'll keep an eye out for any change. The bleeding at the moment seems light, red and almost sometimes abit like the lochia you get after miscarriage or birth? I've cried like mad, but I know I can't change it 😢

It can be difficult to see an ectopic pregnancy. Mine didn't show up in the fallopian tube, even at seven weeks. But, you've got pregnancy hormones and not much evidence to explain that. I can't repeat enough, as does @AndSoFinally, to get straight to the hospital if you feel worried or the pain increases.
I also recall painful bowel movements and an awful pain that felt like cramp in my side.

Slow rising HCG like that does suggest a problem, but it's bit of a waiting game.
Be cautious and if the pain increases, or you feel generally unwell, you need to contact the hospital urgently.

This is why I'm so confused. They checked my ovaries, and saw nothing other than a small cyst on my left ovary, from ovulation. No obvious signs of bleeding, nothing. It started off brown, I didn't notice it being watery, but it's red now and has been since the day before my last scan. I'm keeping an eye on the pain because so far I've been able to manage my cramps with paracetamol, although I feel that's starting to not work as well. I'm so sad because I wanted to be so hopeful with my scan and hcg but I just can't be anymore with the cramping and bleeding 😢

I'm so sorry to hear that. If your levels are still rising, it does suggest an ectopic, but it's complicated by the fact that you can see a tiny sac. Usually with an ectopic there's a mismatch between the HCG levels and the size of what can be seen.
Is the bleeding watery as well as brown? That's often a symptom of an ectopic.
I'm afraid that only time will tell, but in the meantime, if the pain gets worse, go straight back to hospital.
