Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Confused

I suffered a miscarriage at 12 weeks back in April, had a normal AF on 3rd May, on 31st May, realised I was a day late, took a few tests and they were all positive.
Then on Wednesday, now what would have been 4+3, I started to bleed, I just assumed it was a CP and felt sad. It was like a normal period, not heavy, not light, just normal for me. Lasted about 24 hours and then stopped. And now I'm just getting slightly brown discharge and nothing else. I only had one tiny, tiny clot.
Phoned my GP who said they can't do anything until I'm about 6 weeks, so if I bleed again, just assume that's it, if not, it was just one of those early pregnancy bleeds.
Took another test, was still positive, just super faint.
Has anyone else had this? Not sure if a short AF after a really early miscarriage is normal or whether it was just a weird IB?!

Has the test gotten fainter since your first positive? If so, it sounds like it could have been a CP. Otherwise your GP is exactly right, there is nothing that can be done until things can be detected on an u/s, which is around 6w.

I believe I had a CP immediately after surgery for my MC, as I also saw a positive, which then faded to nothing, and a few days' later my period came. Unfortunately, there's nothing else that can be done apart from keep testing and see if the line fades.

If you've had a normal period, to me it sounds like a CP. Sorry, but it doesn't mean you won't be successful next time xx

I just re-read and you said you only bled for 24h? That definitely isn't the length of a normal period. I'm afraid the only thing you can do at this stage though is keep testing and see if the line gets darker or not xx

Thanks @thankfulbee, I think you're right, going to leave it a week and take another test. In the meantime, just watch for signs. I'm wondering whether my body just hadn't had enough time to get over the miscarriage. No bleeding since Wednesday, so I'm feeling hopeful, and my mum had a weird dream about hopping bunnies which apparently means good fertility. She's mad though... 🤷‍♀️
