Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Trying again

Hi all - am currently miscarrying at 5 and a bit weeks. Sad

We would really like to start trying again ASAP - I'm hoping that because the miscarriage has happened very early it shouldn't take my body too long to reset after I've finished bleeding?

I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me on picking myself up, so to speak, and trying again.

Poppyseed, let yourself recover from this and give yourself time to move house, maybe have a little drink etc and then start trying again. After my mc we were so scared it would happen again but had a big holiday then I had a big promotion at work, so we waited a bit.
Try not to get too stressed about becoming pregnant- we did and then the month we started to chill out a bit I got pregnant with ds!
All the best, it's so so common and there's lots of good advice on mumsnet if you need support xx

Thank you spiral for that, I guess that would make sense with the dates and things. Because I had to have stitches during the procedure last week I've been advised obviously not to try for at least two weeks, but I suppose from that point it wouldn't hurt. We're in the middle of moving house too which is stressful enough so maybe a good idea to wait until after first period. I'm just scared about this happening again but I guess it's true what Megs said - odds are on our side Smile thank you for all your kind words.

Sorry about your mc.
When I had to one a couple of years ago the dr said we could try again once the bleeding had stopped.
You can wait til after your next period but she said they only really advise this so you can work out dates

Sorry you're all in a similar boat.

I'm not bleeding as much as I'd feared - it feels like my normal period - so I'm hoping that my cycle gets back to normal relatively soon.

I'm new to all this but It's such a relief to see there are other people going through the same thing and that I'm not alone. I had a MMC a week ago and have been struggling a little. I am desperate to try again although I'm trying to be sure that it's not just my emotions and grieving that are causing the intense need to TTC. The doctor recommended I wait at least one period before trying again which I suppose will also give me the time to really think about it all. I had the surgical treatment which they said should make my period resume within 4-6weeks, so hopefully can try following that. It was my first pregnancy so the thought of having this happen again is, well, scary to say the least!

I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago. I was told to try whenever I was ready. I stopped bleeding a week after and had unprotected sex the following week. Not really ttc as was hoping to get AF first but I gather of it happens, it happens.
