I don't know if this has been covered somewhere else, and I guess it probably has. I miscarried our first attempt at 12 weeks in February, it has been hard to handle but we kept trying, I should have got my period last week, It didn't come, and I got a BFP when I did a test a couple of days ago. Thing is, I cried, I can't help think that there is no point in getting excited again as it all might end the same miserable way. When should I see a Doctor? I feel like there is no point letting my GP know anytime soon, but I just don't know. what should I do??? When did you tell your Doctor? did they do anything differently after a miscarriage, I've only had one... any advice would be really appreciated xx

Sorry for your loss. Flowers

In my trust it is the midwife that you see first and that is around eight weeks (even after a miscarriage). Can you give your surgery a call and ask them what the process is where you are? I really hope everything goes smoothly for you this time and congratulations.

Thank you! I'll call my surgery next week. This week I am just going to try and relax, pretend it is not happening and be happy. Thank you for your support xxx

Hi it's a good idea to contact your doctor as soon as possible - as you have had a previous mc they would be able to refer you to the EPU for an early reassurance scan. ( where I live you need the GP to make a referral). Also not trying to be negative in any way but if the worst did happen it will be recorded. I had 3 mc in a row 2 were at 10 and 12 weeks but the other was at 5 weeks - I had not been able to see the GP earlier as we were away so it was not recorded - it was then a huge fight to get a referral to the recurrent mc unit for tests. I know what you mean about the anxiety and not being able to get excited it's going to be very tough and emotional time hopefully you have good friends and family to help you through. Early scans will hopefully be of some help. Sending you lots of positive energy fingers crossed this baby will be a sticky one X
