I'm 46. Never had a problem with my menstral cycles. About 3 years ago once in a while I saw my period lasting with staining 9-11 days. My most recent history on periods was I had one on August 4th which was pretty normal. Never got one in September except for staining on sept 14 and 15th. Finally got period on oct 18th. staining since oct 25th so it's been 15days so far in total of period and staining.
Had sono done 6months and lining was fine My obgyn would do another sono but wants to see how long it will stain for
My q is what's the longest you've stained for including bleeding with period? It's making me crazy because I've never skipped a period before and never had 15 days of staining/bleeding. Any input would be appreciated. I'm new to this site so may not know how to view responses so you can directly email me at [email protected] if you are ok with that. Thanks

So this is my update:
Had period on Oct 18th, end of period led to continual staining till yesterday being day 17 and ended up with period again however never got a break of staining or bleeding
So in other words period from Oct 18th, then followed by continual staining which as of yesterday Nov 3rd led do a period again. Any one have that ever?

Yes, I lost weight during my peri and muscle mass, too. I try to gain some pounds and to strength my muscle system with gym. I think that my weight lose was due to insomnia, stress, depression and all these!

The friends i've known who had this, spotted for weeks /months.
TBH it sounds like a period if it's heavier now.

Cancer is very rare in women who are not post menopause. You also had a normal scan 6 months ago so it's really unlikely to be anything sinister.

Thanks for your feedback! Now its day 16 and the same spotting with a little clotting (not to be graphic)
Can I ask you, just to make sure I understand you have a friend that has spotted for a month continuously??
How can I tell the difference with hormonal changes and god forbid a cancer?
I appreciate you responding to my post.

I really don't think you should worry. Spotting- which is what you describe- is very common in peri. Usually caused by incomplete cycles and lack of progesterone. I've had friends who have had spotting for months and were given the equivalent of the mini pill to help control the spotting. Spotting, missed periods, cycles close together, longer cycles- all normal.
