Divorce, tennents in common or joint tenants

Married. 40 years. house and land in question is Joint tenants. Any other land property etc is part of a trust entirely separate to my part. As part of estate planning /new will/trust stuff for my marriage My house switch is now suggested to be tenent in common 50/50 I'm seriously thinking about divorce (DH doesn't know) Would I be better off staying as Joint Tennent on the family home, of switching to Tennant in common l?
