HI Everyone

I got so busy with work, minding my son etc that I stopped checking this thread. Just had a good look around and see the updates.

I see that mist it didn't work out and spread too. My goodness - the realities of IVF..... I'm so sorry for you all.

You may remember that I had the cycle cancelled but we got six embryos frozen. What I have to do now is a SIS scan as I might have a fibroid in there and basically, the womb lining and environment is not quite right. It's VERY frustrating. I am in bad form (moody).

AF came today though so I am now back thinking about 'what's next'. I will have an appointment next week sometime for the scan and then maybe a FET though I think....it won't be til about April or May as they will need to fix me up in side a bit.

FFS!! So annoying the whole thing and maddening isn't it....

Are you guys on a new thread?

Thanks Tiny and Mist. You've all been such a great support network.

Tiny - have everything crossed for you and Wish! Really hoping for fab news. You both deserve it so much.

Mist - I know exactly how you feel. DD never stops asking if I have a baby in my tummy yet.. wish I could give her a sibling but sometimes it just isn't meant to be. Let's see what the future holds. Who knows - we might start looking at adoption I'm thinking

Hugs to you all xxx

Spread glad that it is resolving itself without risky interventions but sad that you've had to go through this. Sending hugs.

I'm out this time for certain. Bleeding turned into AF and I'm back to BFN. I think it was a CP but it lasted even less time than my last one. Wondering if it's really just bad luck again or whether there's an underlying reason. I don't think it has all fully hit me yet but I'm feeling quite down about our future chances now. :( Can't try again soon and when we do it might be our last chance of a sibling for DD. Follow up meeting is next month, hopefully that and some time will help.

Wishing you good luck, Tiny and Wish. I'll check in to see how you get on (but might only lurk for now).

Spread I am glad, if I can use that word, that your body is handling this and you are not subject to any outside chemicals or hospital visits. I am wishing you all the best on your journey from here and really hope your frostie is the one xxx

Mist - are you feeling ok? Thinking of you.

Hi girls, sorry for radio silence!

First Tiny, that's great!! Faint positive is a great sign... fingers crossed.

Wish - how are you doing? OTD this week right??

Hello - how's bleeding Hun? Really hope it's subsiding. Test again tomorrow right? Keep us posted.

I've finally had some good news (if you can call it that...!). Embryo seems to be miscarrying itself and being absorbed internally so thank God, I have not needed surgery to lose my tube or the injection (which I heard is pretty major in itself - used as a cancer treatment and also affects fertility for at least 4 months)... my HCG has dropped itself down to 84 today so should get back to 0 soon and that'll be the end of this chapter. Might start thinking of Frostie in 6 months.

Want some BFPs from you girls this week pls!

Xx

An update from me... I cracked at 5dp 5dt and v faint line.

Trying not to get excited as this is what happened on my FET cycle. Early faint lines that eventually disappeared by OTD.

Obviously should not have done it as now more confused than ever!

Spread oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. :( How incredibly scary and disappointing. I was reading about ectopics last night because it came up when I googled the situation I'm in (faint positives and heavy bleeding). I had heard they were more common in IVF but I'm not sure clinic has ever warned me. It's scary that it can go unspotted until the first scan.

I got the faintest hint of a second line this morning (no colour) but have had heavy bleeding since yesterday afternoon. The nurse said to retest in 3 days and stay on luteal support until then, ring in on Monday. In my head it is over. Don't think I can hang on all weekend trying to believe otherwise! Thanks for asking how I am.

Shit Spread, what awful news. Sleep well tonight and I will be thinking about you tomorrow. I hope the hospital staff treat you with care and please let us know that you are safe and healthy after the injection.

Wish don't be worried about the clinic making you test again on the 7th. They'll just need a confirmed OTD positive for their records. If you are really anxious, test again tomorrow :)

AFM I'm feeling quite cool about things and not tempted to poas yet! Going to try really hard to wait till next Thursday.

Hi all

HelloMist - how was your test today? Hope all ok...

So I had scan today. Sadly it's an ectopic pregnancy ... didn't see that one coming. Apparently it's more common when you have IVF. No one told me that!

Anyway I basically have to make it through tonight without pain and can go to hospital tomorrow and have an injection to end the pregnancy. If I get any pain, it's straight to A&E and immediate surgery to get tube removed. So scared! Injection far more attractive than surgery.

Oh well. Wasn't meant to be this time girls.

Really want to hear wonderful stories from you guys xx

Hello Tiny how are you feeling?

Mist, how are things going?

Strandy, you don't have your scan until tomorrow right?

I called the clinic this morning and they said it was very early and although she wasn't mad, she did say fingers crossed it will be positive on the 7th when she still wants me to test.

so I am unsure how to feel now :/ should I be worried?

Still in shock lol. I took several tests btw. He is another frer so you can compare with the previous photo. But honestly ? The digital one has shocked me. I'm 7dp5dt but technically got the faint positive on 5dp5dt!

Ah! How confusing! I was told I wouldn't get my period whilst taking cyclogest.

Spread it hurts my heart to hear what you are going through. I don't think there's anything I can say to make you feel better but I'm going to try: take comfort in knowing that your body has excellent quality control - it has (I'm assuming) picked up on some abnormalities of this particular embie and decided it was not safe to carry to term. A friend of mine has the opposite problem - her body has no quality control and carries anything that's implanted; she's had 7 losses around the 12-13 week mark when severe abnormalities were identified in the foetuses. Also take comfort in knowing your body was able to implant the embie and produced enough hcg to become a growing little magic bean so I don't think there is anything wrong with you. It just wasn't meant to be this time around. (I hated when people said that to me after my failed cycle but I do believe that maybe it wasn't meant to be after all)

Mist I'm so sorry to read about the red blood. Do you think it is another CP? :(

I am angry and sad for us all. Why do we have to go through this hell?!

SpreadTheLove · 01/02/2017 16:32

I definitely had what appeared to be my period (came exactly on my due date too and pretty much identical to normal AF) whilst taking progesterone pessaries... so I think it can come.

Am having really acute cramps now - so painful I even had to leave work and wasn't sure I would make it home without doubling over in pain Sad... definitely a miscarriage happening I think - not had a pain like this before.

Madness really - was none the wiser and totally felt pregnant (and was!) yesterday morning - today, it's all change.

Tiny - fab news re. Frosties!
