Anyone got a robot mop?

We’ve got a robot vacuum cleaner which we love (hard floors, 2 kids, dog) but mopping the floors is another chore I hate.

Been looking at the 2 in 1 robot vacuum/mops but just wondering whether anyone here has tried one they’d recommend?

Me!

I've got the irobot vacuum and the irobot mop. I wanted 2 separate ones because the robot can be vacuuming upstairs whilst downstairs is being mopped.

The mop is great but after 2 rooms it needs to be recharged - which is fine really.

I looked at reviews for the new eufy vacuum mop but they said it just washes the floor with water which is not going to be enough for our floors.

That’s good to know, I’ll check those out. We’re trying to decide between a mopping one to go with our vacuum, or one that does both and move the vacuum to a different part of the house.

We just really need our floors lightly wiped so might work for us - what brand are people using?

I have the iRobot braava jet I love it. I have purchased extra mop pads and batteries so Connie can just keep going! I either put Method floor cleaner down on the floor before she sets off or put some on the mop pad itself. Brilliant Grin.

This sounds amazing.

We have a Braava, it was DH’s first big lockdown purchase when he got sick of mopping every day Grin it has separate pads that just sweep three floor too so I often set it off with that, then hoover and then set off the mop with some Method floor cleaner Smile it is a joy.

Just came on to ask for robot mop recommendations after posting on a robot vac thread.
I already have a robot vac and very pleased with it, and have been ummimg and ahhing over a mop.
Hard floors are kitchen, conservatory, small utility, dining room, hall, downstairs loo.
Probably 35-40m2 at a rough estimate.
Happy for that to be done in 2 lots - dining room rarely used.

Any comparisons for the iRobot Braava Jet 390 v 250?
250 seems to be able to get into smaller places - would this be better for round kitchen & dining room chairs etc?

@Chasingsquirrels I've got the 520 it's great for getting into little spaces. Given the area you have I think you will also need extra mop pads and batteries.

I decided that's what you must mean.
There is only £10 between the two.

We have a Venga vacuum and mop 2 in one. The mop function is ok for a maintenance mop, but not a replacement for a proper mop.

Wait.....whaaaaaat? I didnt know this was a thing and I want one immediately please

We've got the Braava, not the one that sprays water. The bigger one. It does a really good job of keeping the place cleaner. It has a sweeping function and a mopping one. The only thing that it doesn't do is scrub, so if you've got any stubborn marks you need to use the old fashioned method.

We have the same and I agree. Still need an occasional proper mop but less often if you run the Venga in between.

StephenBelafonte please can I ask which iRobot Roomba vacuum you have? I’m looking at buying both the vacuum and a mop

I have the Roborock S6Max v which will hoover and mop at the same time or just hoover alone or just mop alone. I wish I had bought one years ago although I think the dual option ones haven't been around that long.
