Has anyone been to the above? It looks as if it has a fab kids creche but don't know if it costs an arm and a leg to eat and drink there. Any insights gratefully received.

I've only just joined Mumsnet so this reply may be too late for Willow2. We went to the Penina Golf
in September 2000 with our then 18 month old twins.

It was fab! Obviously it is pricey as it is a five star hotel but we had a week there for about
£2000 but this was in a 'grand suite' and we did pay for a seat for one of the twins even though they were under 2 for our own comfort!

The Creche was extra, paid locally and wasn't cheap - about £5.00 per hour per child or £25 per day per child for under threes but much cheaper for over threes but I can't remember exact cost. Meals could be taken at the creche without parents (hurray!!!) but the meals were an extra cost & not particularly cheap.

There are several places to eat & given the quality of the hotel these didn't seem ridiculously expensive.

The swimming pool (outdoor) is fantastic & if golf is your thing my husband assures me the course is superb.

The girls from the creche will baby sit in the evenings at a cost of about £5 per hour and were all very good.
