I got an email from Ryanair saying I need to contact them as I booked though a third party intermediary or BOT? It says I need to contact them but I assume it's a scam?

Ryanair don't like people using third parties to book their flights and will sometimes cancel them. Contact the company you booked with.

We used Love Holidays several times pre-Covid, on the recommendation of friends. We never had any issues with our bookings.

I booked through LH. They gave me makey-uppy email that I had to use to check in with Ryan air. And I didn't know so Ryan air contacted me and told me. Then I contacted LH to get the email. Then check in. Total faff and won't book through them again. Also booked one room hotel for 4 of us.

LH are the agents and they state in their terms and conditions the contract is with the Service Provider of your chosen travel service and not them.

This is why it is so very necessary to read the terms and conditions.
Going forward do not book holidays or flights using such companies and book direct.

Can you explain that a bit more? What are the negatives of booking through a third party?

Are sites like on the beach, expedia etc not reputable places to book anymore?

Given all the flight chaos I think you might miss somethng important if you don't follow the link your flight times may have chnaged or been cancelled

It's pretty easy to tell an unsafe link, just do what you would normally do when checking a web address before clickig.

I received a refund from LH during the first lockdown. They do work as 2 separate entities - although I'm not sure they should as a package hol. Anyway you should be able to log on your Ryan Air account with flight number and surname and take anything from there.
LH were useless - no way of contacting them at all - due to covid apparently, so maybe that has changed. But yes, your email sounds about right.

Is the email address it came from genuine? Aka it has the same xxxx.com ending as other communication you’ve had before?

Can you post a screenshot so we can see if it’s genuine?

Ok I've just looked and it appears to be from love holidays on behalf of Ryanair. I'm going to contact them and not click on the link, but can't imagine with all the travel chaos and bank holiday that I'll get through this weekend!

i’ve just got back from a Love Holidays trip that used RyanAir for the return flight. I didn’t receive any communication from RyanAir to say that I needed to contact them directly other than checking in online 24 hours before departure. All of the information I needed to check in was provided in the LH holiday confirmation.

Do you mean love holidays is a csam or the message from Ryanair? Why would either be?

I booked a holiday earlier this year with tui but not tui flights and the messages from the airline said the same thing about booking through an intermediary, I assuned that was just a factual statement not something untoward if that's what concerning you
