Relaxing beach resort for mum's break (no kids!)

Looking for reccomendations for a beach resort in Spain, Greece or Portugal. We are 2 friends wanting to catch up and relax. Just the two of us wanting somewhere reasonable and relaxing. I've been to Agios Gordios in Corfu before and looking for a similar vibe. Spain is probably cheaper but not sure where to go. We want to walk/hike in the morning, chill on the beach and swim in the day, maybe yoga...and go for nice meal in the evening. Not looking for mad nightlife. Ideally something close enough to an airport and scenic with a nice vibe. I'm thinking Menorca as have never been. Any advice appreciated. Can fly from London Airport (I'll be travelling from Dublin and meeting my friend in London - direct flights from Dublin are mega expensive so don't mind transfering). We are planning 4 nights in July. All ideas welcome. Thanks in advance!!

I was going to suggest Binibeca. Lots of choices of restaurants but not busy. There's a lovely beach not too far to walk to and the bus was ready to get to Mahon for a day out.

Brilliant. Thanks for all the recommendations. If we can stretch to it I'd love to try Audax in CG. If not we'll go with Allua Illa de Menorca in S'Algar and rent a scooter. It really is great value.

Will do Corfu again in September and put the rest on my list!

Corfu is amazing. Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is lovely too!

My husband and I stayed at the adult only Audax in Cala Galdana before we had a baby. Highly recommended, was very chill and love the resort.

No beach at S’Algar but it is very pretty with rocky platforms. Even quieter than Binibeca too.

Brilliant thanks AnyFucker 😁 Good to know I'm on the right track! My mate has booked a resort in S'Algar (refundable) but as far as I can see there's no beach there which is a deal breaker for me. I'll start researching accomm in Binibeca and CG 🏖

You have chosen well with Binibeca and Cala Galdana. Have been to both. CG is a bit more of a “resort” with a gorgeous bay and plenty of restaurants.

Binibeca has a more residential feel and is quieter but closer to the airport. Again, plenty of places to eat and beautiful scenery. The beach is smaller but very picturesque.

We are off to Binibeca again next month.

in September I mean
The weather should be perfect! I don’t think I’ve ever loved a place as much as Agios Gordios! I’d go again in July but flights are very expensive and could be too hot….

We have decided on Minorca so just trying to pick a resort now! From the threads here Binibeca and Cala Gandana sound ideal.
I will let you know how it goes.

Otherwise I’m September I would highly recommend Agios Gordios in Corfu. I went with 3 friends last year. We hiked in the morning, swam read and lounged all day on the beautiful beach and went for dinner in the evening. Total relaxation! Lots of solo women and return travellers. I hope to visit again in September.

if you do find anywhere I’d be very grateful if you update if you have time!

So after doing more research on skyscanner Menorca seems a good bet. Has the scenery, walking and quiet relaxing vibe we're after. So now just to find a resort with nice beach and a few restaurants that's an easy transfer from airport. I'll check on the Menorca threads too but if anyone has tips please let me know.

This is a much longed for break with my oldest most amazing mate I haven't seen for 4 years. Been a shite few years with relationships imploding and bereavement. Really looking forward to some restorative sunshine, swimming and nature walks.

Weve provisionally booked alua illa de menorca which sounds lovely but perhaps more for families (not bothered about evening entertainment or buffet dinners really) seems like there's not much to do outside resort...I'll keep looking 😁
