There are two Zafiro hotels in Can Picafort...Mallorca and Can Picafort. We have stayed in Zafiro Mallorca and it's brilliant...just back from there. Great pools for kids (slides, water bubble and activities) and beautiful surroundings in the hotel. We had a standard pool view room which was lovely (separate bedroom) but if you have more to spend...the ground floor rooms now have their own small (5m ish) pool! Amazing, there's a big outdoor bed for lounging and a safety gate and steps into the little pool. Can Picafort itself has a beautiful beach with plenty of restaurants and a nice pedestrianised shopping street (plus another couple of shopping streets). Buses to Alcudia run regularly if you want a change of scene. It's about 1hr 20 by bus transfer from the airport and 40 mins private transfer. Lovely place to go 🙂

We went to C’An Picafort Zafiro when the kids were 3 and a baby, we loved it. Didn’t find the rooms dated although we got the cheapest one and it was very dark so we paid to upgrade on arrival. Transfer from airport was fairly long and windy - maybe 1hr 30? Was Jet2’s last drop off and first pick up!
re the pools - we went in October and they were FREEZING, as in, had to give my 3 year old a hot shower after as his lips had gone a bit blue!!
but food was good, drinks nice for AI, gorgeous resort and lots for kids to do - kids club, playground, trampolines, mini golf etc and a kids disco. Easy downhill walk to the resort and beach. Would definitely return!

We’re also looking at the Zafiro hotels, probably the Can Picfort one. We have looked at getting a room with a hot tub as our kids are in bed by 7ish but it’s so expensive! Has anyone had one of these rooms and was it worth it? Most of the reviews say the pools are freezing did anyone go in September and find this issue?

We stayed at Zafiro Can Picafort in summer 2019 and adored it! We had one of the regular rooms but it was huge - separate bedrooms for us and the kids. Great bathroom - the shower was fab.
We booked self catering however upgraded as soon as we got there to all inclusive as the drinks were really expensive. They do proper branded spirits included. Pools are amazing, food is good, entertainment team great. Only downside was I think it was 1.5/2 hours coach ride from the airport down some very windy roads - my little one got very travel sick!

I still havnt decided on one yet. I was recommended the Zafiro Palace Alcudia but I am still drawn to Zafiro Can Picafort. Possibly because its almost half the price but I am nervous to book either yet incase I book the more affordable and it isn't what I would like or to book Alcudia the more expensive and it not be worth the money 🤯 alternatively I have been looking at Bella Italia in Lake Garda but this is not all inclusive. Very different and less luxury but looks good for children. Has anyone been here?

How did you find the rooms? Were they as dated as some trip advisor reviews make out? They look fine in the pics I’ve seen…

I’m stalking this thread too. I’ve been looking at the Zafiro in Cala n Bosch Menorca for next year. I’m almost sold on it except several recent reviews mention how dated the rooms are. We’d have a 3 year old so would likely spend quite a bit time on one. Would they be so bad?

We Recently stayed at playa mar in Majorca and loved it so much but fancy somewhere different - though short flight times and not stupid o clock departure.

We‘re going back to the Zafiro Palmanova for the 3rd time this year! First time we went our two girls were 2 and 6. The kids disco is great, as is the kids pool with the pirate ship and the big bubble you can climb up and slide down in the main pool. It’s only a short walk to the beach as well.

The garden rooms looked really nice, they had their own little garden with a couple of sunbeds at the front. I'd imagine they'd be great if you had napping children or similar.

Sorry for the late reply @kmwa it's lovely! It's a few years since we went, the DC were about 3 & 5 at the time (now 9 & 11) I remember that the rooms were huge and the childrens pool was particularly good and perfect for them at that age. It's about a 7/8 minute walk into a good town with a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants and some great restaurants along the beach front which is just a couple of minutes further. I can't remember how far it is from the airport but it can't have been particularly bad as I don't remember it as a long journey. We loved it though and would definitely recommend.

We went to the one on Can Picafort in Majorca, it was fab! Lovely big room with separate bedroom, great pool, highly recommended!

This is the main one I was looking at actually. Would you mind telling me a bit more about it, please? How far is the transport from the airport? Which type of room did you book, I see garden rooms and pools rooms etc. Does it cater well for small children? Is there much to do on the resort and is it walking distance to many places outside of the resort? Sorry for all of the questions 🙂

We have stayed in a few of them around alcuduia. We like them (hence going back). The kids entertainment is good rooms are nice as have a separate bed room but that gives you more room. Also have a little kitchenette which is good if you have younger children to prepare bottles for. They all have lovely playgrounds and kids
pool with slides etc.

I can’t remember the ones we’ve been too (dh does all the booking and he’s at work can ask him later if you want).

That would be great thank you.
