Anyone booked a flight through lastminute.com ??

I was looking at a flight to Miami with different airlines, I then looked at Lastminute.com and it brought up a fare that is lot cheaper than booking directly with the airline, flying out with one airline and returning with a different one.

I have never booked via lastminute, so am wondering if it is safe to book through them, and if anything went wrong (like missing a connection etc) would they be any good at sorting it out?

Higher pricing tends to work when it's high season here as well as there. It's school holidays in July (even early July when private schools and Scottish and Irish schools have broken up) so I can't see that getting anything than more expensive now. I wouldn't consider it low season, shoulder at best if I was in the US but definitely peak for UK so all airlines will price it accordingly. People book Florida early and the lower fares will have been snapped up months ago. I'd say book quickly, it's not likely to discount.

Not sure when you are looking to travel but I would’ve be expecting any price drops for travel to Miami if you’re leaving in the next few months. The travel industry is finally getting back on its feet after two years of uncertainty and limitations. Flights are nearly at full capacity this summer, they won’t need to reduce prices.

July, its for an event in Miami, I thought July was low season for Florida, 😞

Glad I asked, thank you all.

Will book hold out a bit longer and hope flight prices normalise, it's ridiculous the prices they are charging at the moment.

They were absolutely awful when our airline went bust. Escalated the complaint to the CEO and were offered a paltry £50 voucher that never materialised. Would never recommend them or use them again ourselves.

I did 2 years ago.
they sent us an e-mail telling us our flights were cancelled.
unfortunately we were already in Thailand and had a mare of a time getting home. And took months getting anything like a refund which was just a voucher.

steer clear at all costs.

Cheap is not always cheerful. When things go wrong they are worse than useless. Avoid at all costs and book direct with the airline instead.

I wouldn't want to deal with them if things go wrong. I work in travel and get a lot of clients who have problems with them.

I have booked with them a lot and it's always been fine. As someone else pointed out however it might not be cheaper because the price you are seeing won't have anything added to it yet! Worth selecting the flight and seeing what's Included because my experience is it isn't always a great deal

It's unlikely to be. That will be the base fare, then they'll add on luggage etc.

I've booked hotels with them and they can often be cheaper than booking direct. Flights I would be suspicious about.

Don't do it. We haven't got our refund back from a cancellation due to covid. They are a broker and you cannot contact them post sale. They send your booking to the airline with an encrypted email address, which means the airline cannot contact you re fight time changes.
