Is Cala D'or still quite nice? Or has it become quite brits abroad?

I went back in 2012 and remember it being nice, very pretty and lots of choice of restaurants. Is it still one of the more upmarket areas or has it become quite classic brits abroad? We prefer going self catering so we can eat out locally so don't want all the restaurants to be the same kind of British based menu you can get in some areas!
