Dubai in Feb

Hi all,

Looking for advice on whether Dubai in Feb will be cold and rainy? When I google Feb weather I find lots of TA forums which seem to be saying this but they’re all from 2016/17.

I want to go somewhere hot and sunny where we can chill out by the pool all day (kid free) but also needs to be Zika free and REALLY struggling for Feb!

Zika? You can't be serious, surely? There have barely been any cases in the past couple of years and the epidemic ended in 2016. How can you possibly be worried about that and not covid?

I went at the end of January. Definitely sunbathing weather in the day but the nights needed a cardigan and jeans. Brutal AC inside.

We often go to Dubai in the February holidays as my sil lives there, only once has it rained in february and NEVER been cold. I think I've only ever needed a cardi once outdoors when that rain/sandstorm was brewing.

Indoors is FREEZING everywhere though, unless you like AC.

@chasingrain - do you know the current situation regarding PCR tests for Dubai? I know you need to take one no more than 48 hours before you fly but there’s also mention that you ‘may’ also be required to take one on arrival and then isolate until you get the results. Is this likely to happen do you think or only if you have symptoms?
We are going to Dubai for 3 days at Easter before flying to the Maldives so don’t want to have to lose a day waiting for PCR results! I know it could all change by then obviously.

Check the pools are heated where you stay. I grew up there and we were in jumpers and trousers for school in Feb but that's because we had acclimatized through the melting summer.

You might get some rain but it's usually a big storm that goes through quickly. Easter is the ideal weather imo.

I am going feb half term. Its lovely and a very popular time to go. Hurry up though and book as hotels are filling up fast, our hotel is fully booked now.

Its like a nice warm summers days, warm enough for the kids to go in the pool or sea and maybe get a bit of a tan. It gets cool at night so take a jacket .

It might rain 3 or 4 days over February.
The nights (and evenings) could be cool but the daytime temp is likely to rise above 20C.

The locals will call this cold and wet. Some of the outside water based stuff maybe closed. But it's not cold and wet like you would describe an English February!
