Testing requirements help

I am losing my mind trying to figure out what my sister needs to travel. They're having to travel last minute tonight to Poland. Its an emergency and not negotiable. It will be 2 fully vaxxed adults and 3 children aged: 3,5,5.
I know what they need to get to Poland but I'm so confused about the advice on return.
Does everyone but the 3 year old need a test 2 days before departure to the UK and than a day 2?

I believe only 12 yrs and above need the test to get back into the UK, before being allowed on the plane. The lateral flow (or pcr) fit to fly or whatever it's called. So in this case just the adults.

But everyone except the 3 Yr old needs the 2 day PCR after arriving back in to the UK.

Amazing thank you. So only the adults need to test pre departure right? The gov website is a bit confusing as it says over 5s follow the same rules as fully vaxxed on arrival in the UK. So I'm assuming the pre arrival tests are not for them. No time to buy and take tests with them so they will sort that there. Will order the PCR ones in time for return.

You need to prebook the tests for the UK as you need a code for the passenger locator form

Hi,

That's correct everyone except the 3 year old has to take a test within 2 days of arriving in England and then within 2 days from arriving in England. A passenger locater form also needs to be completed within 48 hours of departure to England.
